We get up close to many different species of birds with views that people rarely get to see of some of the secretive birds of the wetlands. Being out in the wetlands every day for six months gives us a unique ability to find and closely visit with many different species of birds. cruises on Saturday Sunday and Monday mornings are sponsored by the Cape May Bird Observatory and have a higher price but are also either 2 1/2 or 3 hours depending on the season.

Lots of Birds - This was a great tour! Very friendly and knowledgeable captain and naturalist on board. We went at the end of April and saw many winter and spring birds. They had binoculars to use while on the tour to spot some far away birds.

Great experience! - You get a nice long time on the boat. Guides were super knowledgeable and made sure we saw as many birds as possible. They provided great quality binoculars too!

Highlight of my trip - The trip was very enjoyable. Both the captain and naturalist were extremely knowledgeable and experts at spotting birds. We were able to get close enough for great observations of the birds but without disturbing them. Excellent activity for all ages!

A Peaceful and Rewarding Birding Experience - Birding by Boat on The Osprey was one of the best birding experiences I’ve had in New Jersey. The crew was knowledgeable and respectful of the birds and their habitats. I photographed ospreys carrying nesting material, brant in flight, a cormorant on the rocks, and a yellowlegs foraging in the marsh. The boat was stable enough for handheld photography with a long lens, even in breezy conditions. If you're a birder or wildlife photographer, don’t miss this. This trip is ideal for both beginner and experienced birders who want a low-impact, informative excursion through Cape May’s back bays. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience - Amazing! both our guides were truly knowledgable and helped us spot so many birds that were around in this season. Very patient and passionate about the subject too. They spotted birds that had merged into backgrounds. Seeing the birds in their natural habitat was such a memorable experience! thank you and we look forward to being back with you folks in late summer/fall

We Loved Our Trip - My boyfriend and I loved our trip on the Osprey (and he's not even into birding). The captain and our guide were as amazing and knowledgeable as they were passionate about what they do. We learned so much and had such an awesome time. It was a beautiful, memorable day on the the water. The sights were as stunning as the birds.

A fantastic, experience! Don’t miss this! - What a wonderful experience! My husband and I are casual bird watchers. However, the captain and the naturalist made sure that everyone, regardless of experience were comfortable, were able to see and identify the birds that we observed. The captain is extremely knowledgeable about the waterway and was able to plot a course for optimum bird watching. This is definitely a fantastic experience!

Fall birding on the Osprey - Captain Bob spotted and shared with us dozens of species of birds, including Cape May’s FOY buffleheads! We highly recommend!

It was fun - Very kind naturalist and captain. Quick eyes for birds, got us around safely. The really know their way around Cape May. There’s no way to truly experience this unless by boat.
