We get up close to many different species of birds with views that people rarely get to see of some of the secretive birds of the wetlands. Being out in the wetlands every day for six months gives us a unique ability to find and closely visit with many different species of birds. cruises on Saturday Sunday and Monday mornings are sponsored by the Cape May Bird Observatory and have a higher price but are also either 2 1/2 or 3 hours depending on the season.

Great experience! - Great experience! Saw and photographed almost 20 bird species. Boat captain and naturalist are very friendly and knowledgeable. They know where the birds are work hard to get us good views. Boat was comfortable and was able to get right up to the edges of the marsh. Definitely will do this again in another part of the year!

Highlight of Cape May birding! - This was my third time on Birding by Boat on the Osprey and it remains my favorite thing to do in Cape May! Having knowledgeable and enthusiastic birders providing the tour means it's always a wonderful success. Thank you!!

The highlight of every birding trip! - We have been birding with Bob for for 14 years. The past several years Patti has been our “onboard naturalist “. We are there for the spring and fall migrations. You never know what (or who) you will see. Bob knows all the spots and all the birds. Patti gives great insight to the ecosystem of the salt marsh and bay. Looking forward to spring and seeing old friends again.

Great trip, knowledgable guides. - Great trip with very knowledgeable guides. Highly recommend.
Binoculars provided was a big plus as was the narrative of how the season has progressed for our feathered friends. Got to see many different species, including some rarer visitors such as the Night Heron.

Fall migration cruise - Excellent tour. We went from 1-4. Guides were extremely knowledgeable birders and made every effort to show us a wide diversity of shore birds. Highly recommend.

A Must Do! - Great experience for birding and history of the area. Our pilot and accompanying naturalist Vince were fun, knowledgeable, experienced and honestly seemed to enjoy the ride as much as we did. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful morning on the water, plenty of birds - The guides asked what people were hoping to see and we checked a lot off the wishlist. They helped everyone sight in on a bird and explained the habitat, markings and behaviors. Boat was just right size. Not too crowded. Beautiful day on the water.
