Great nature experience - A truly enjoyable excursion with a knowledgeable captain and some expert guest birders helped make this a great trip. Captain Bob took us to a number of areas in the wetlands to view various habitats with their unique species. The boat was comfortable and the close up views made this birding experience unlike any other. I highly recommend for anyone interested in nature and some history of the wetlands and this world class birding location!

Great birding - The captain had a bit of engine trouble at first, but after that was fixed, everything was great. The captain and the tour guide were very experienced birders. They were great at finding and pointing out birds and full of interesting info about them.

Took a wonderful ride through the channels of Cape May, seeing a variety of birds. - This is such an awesome tour! Bob is so knowledgeable about the birds that surround and migrate through Cape May, and an expert at knowing where to spot an array of birds. We even saw a coyote being taunted by a Norther Harrier, unbelievable. Can’t wait to go back in the Spring, highly recommend.

Morning Birding by Boat on the Osprey-Cape May - Thoroughly enjoyed the Birding by Boat on the Osprey excursion in Cape May NJ. Aside from being very personable, Captain Bob and Naturalist Patty were very knowledgable of the shore birds we encountered and surrounding marshlands. The excursion allowed plenty of time for viewing and photographing numerous birds during our excursion. A sampling of birds spotted included various terns/gulls, whimbrels, cormorants, great blue & green herons, oyster catchers, plovers, northern harrier, and others. I highly recommend this excursion. I will be back again next fall! Heck, maybe I'll even make a trip back in the spring!

Great way to see birds that hang out in the salt marsh - We've been on this trip both with the Cape May Bird Observatory festival and independently. Both are very worthwhile. The captain knows where the birds are hanging out and takes you to the good spots. The boat is covered, so you don't need to worry about a little rain or getting fried by the sun. Be sure to bring warmer clothes than you need on land - everyone will want to keep the windows open to see the birds!

Birding by Boat Is Fabulous! - We went on the Osprey as part of the NJ Audubon Fall Birding Festival. It was 2 1/2 hours of bird sightings and beautiful views. The naturalist and captain are expert birders. We saw over 20 types of birds, including song birds—not a typical sight by the water! It was a fabulous experience! Tip: dress warmly.
