Victoria & Alfred Waterfront - Our tour begins at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, one of the city’s most popular areas. This neighborhood offers stunning ocean views and easy access to some of the city’s best beaches. Here, you’ll board the ferry to Robben Island, which is 11 km from the mainland, a 40-45 minute ferry ride. This is also where you’ll pay for your ferry and Robben Island tickets.
Robben Island Museum - Located in Table Bay, Robben Island is best known as the site of the maximum-security prison where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were held during apartheid. Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison on this island, which has become synonymous with the struggle for freedom. Now a World Heritage site and museum, it offers daily tours. You’ll disembark at Murray’s Bay Harbour on the island’s east coast and take a short walk to buses that will take you to all the historical sites around the island.
Table Mountain Aerial Cableway - Table Mountain, standing at 1067 meters above sea level, is a unique symbol of the peninsula. The cable car ride, which completes a 360-degree rotation, offers a spectacular way to ascend Cape Town’s famous flat-topped peak. At the top, you’ll find the Table Mountain Café, a self-service restaurant offering a range of food, drinks, snacks, desserts, and wines. It’s a great spot to soak up the commanding 360-degree views of Cape Town, Table Bay, the surrounding mountains, and the rest of Table Mountain National Park.
Company’s Gardens - Located in central Cape Town, Company’s Garden is the oldest garden in South Africa. Originally created in 1650 by the region’s first European settlers, it provided fertile ground to grow fresh produce for ships rounding the Cape. Today, it’s a park and heritage site.
Iziko South African Museum and Planetarium - Founded in 1825, the South African Museum moved to its current building in the historic Company’s Garden in 1897. Since then, millions of visitors have wandered its halls and corridors, inspired by its collections and exhibitions.
Castle of Good Hope - Built by the Dutch East India Company between 1666 and 1679, the Castle of Good Hope is the oldest existing colonial building in South Africa. During the Second Boer War (1899–1902), part of the castle was used as a prison, and the former cells remain to this day. The Castle now houses the Castle Military Museum and ceremonial facilities for the traditional Cape Regiments.
Bo-Kaap - Bo-Kaap is a neighborhood in Cape Town known for its narrow, cobbled streets lined with colorful houses. Since 1834, which marked the end of slavery in the Cape Colony, it has been a daytime destination on the hillside.
The Diamond Works - Visit a diamond factory to discover and learn about South Africa’s diamond history and other precious stones like Tanzanite, Sapphire, Gold, and Platinum. You’ll be served a taste of South African sparkling wine at the entrance. Prices are negotiable, and our guide will assist you with any purchases and VAT claims at the airport before your return.
Parliament of the Republic of South Africa - For political reasons, we will not have access to the premises, but we will view it from outside, including the immortal light commemorating all who died in the country and the statue of Nelson Mandela.
Iziko Slave Lodge - The Slave Lodge exhibits the origins of slaves brought to the Cape Colony by the Dutch East India Company, mainly from Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and Indonesia. Slavery was abolished on December 3, 1834.
District Six Museum - This museum exhibits the dark days of apartheid, focusing on the eviction and demolition of buildings of descendants of slaves, with the last resistance in 1989.
Cape Peninsula.
Green Point - The day starts with a pickup from your hotel/accommodation and a drive along the south peninsula coastline. The Green Point Lighthouse, first lit on April 12, 1824, is the oldest operational lighthouse in South Africa.
Cape Town Stadium (Green Point Stadium) - Built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the stadium hosts various sports matches and music concerts throughout the year.
Sea Point - The Sea Point Promenade runs along the water’s edge from Mouille Point to the end of Sea Point. This area along the Atlantic Ocean is fantastic for walking, cycling, and exercise. The outdoor calisthenic gym is a perfect spot to work up a sweat while overlooking the striking blue ocean.
Clifton Beaches - Clifton and Camps Bay are two of Cape Town’s most famous and picturesque beaches, offering soft white sand, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Clifton is an affluent area with some of the most expensive houses and apartments in Cape Town, built on steep cliffs with outstanding views of the Atlantic Ocean. Clifton Beach is divided into four parts separated by granite rocks, with the fourth beach being the most popular among young adults.
Maidens’ Cove - Located between Clifton and Glen Beach, Maiden’s Cove offers breathtaking views of the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range and the back end of Table Mountain. It features a stunning tidal pool, massive rounded boulders, and a grassy patch perfect for barbecues or picnics.
Hout Bay - Hout Bay has one of the busiest fishing harbors in the Western Cape, with an established tuna, snoek, and crayfish industry. The harbor is home to the Hout Bay Yacht Club and several restaurants. Visit Seal Island on an ocean safari to watch playful seals, a variety of birds, and beautiful landscapes. You may also see whales, dolphins, and other marine life.
Chapman’s Peak Drive - Chapman’s Peak Drive is one of the most scenic routes in the world. We will stop at the viewpoint where travelers will be amazed by the spectacular view of mountain ranges and endless stretches of the ocean. The drive hugs the near-vertical face of the mountain, linking Hout Bay to Noordhoek suburb. It has 114 curves over nine kilometers and stands at 593 meters above sea level.
Noordhoek Farm Village - Stop at Noordhoek Farm Village for refreshments, coffee, and small crafts and souvenirs.
Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Located in Simon’s Town, Boulders Beach is known for its warm waters from False Bay, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The highlight is the enchanting African penguin colony. Visit these cute penguins in their natural habitat along the boardwalk.
Simon’s Town - Founded in 1679, Simon’s Town is the second oldest town in South Africa and home to the South African Naval Base. We will have lunch at Harbour View Restaurant before proceeding to the Cape of Good Hope.
Cape Point Nature Reserve - Situated at the southwestern tip of Africa, the Cape Point Nature Reserve is one of the most pristine and unspoiled places on earth, with dramatic cliffs, pristine beaches, and breathtaking views. Most travelers opt for a short hike from the Cape of Good Hope to the Cape Point lighthouse. Alternatively, you can take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the lighthouse. Cape Point is the official meeting point of the cold Benguela and warm Agulhas currents.
Cape of Good Hope - A visit to Cape Town is incomplete without a photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board. Your tour guide will share the history of the Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco Da Gama beacons. The reserve encompasses 7750 hectares of rich and varied flora and fauna, including 1100 species of indigenous plants and 250 species of birds.
St James Beach - Our final stop will be St James Beach in Muizenberg, famous for its colorful beach huts used as changing rooms by sunbathers. The beach is also a popular surfing spot.
Cape Town Central - Drive back to Cape Town for drop-off at your hotel/accommodation.

This is a 2-3 hour drive to Aquila Game Reserve, a 4-star family-friendly destination featuring stunning scenery, including vineyards and mountains.
Du Toitskloof Pass - You’ll pass under the Du Toitskloof/Huguenot Tunnel, the longest in the country at 3.9 km. The tunnel links the Paarl wine region and Worcester, offering impressive scenery.
De Wet Cellar - Founded on April 15, 1946, De Wet Cellar is the oldest cellar in Worcester. Originally producing about 3000 tons of grapes per annum, it has since developed into a quality processing cellar of around 22,000 tons per year.
Aquila Safari Reserve Directions - Arrive at Aquila Game Reserve, a 10,000-hectare private game farm. Enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne and a lavish buffet lunch before embarking on a 2-3 hour game drive with a professional game ranger. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to encounter the Big Five—elephants, lions, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos—and other wildlife. After the game drive, relax on the terrace or cool off in the open-air swimming pool.
Cape Town Central - Travel back to Cape Town for drop-off at your hotel/accommodation at approximately 18:00 hrs.
Afrikaans Language Monument - A tribute to the diverse origins of the Afrikaans language, formed on August 14, 1875. It later became the main instrument of apartheid architects, rejected by black South Africans.
Cape Wineland Routes: Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl Regions
Vredenheim - One of the oldest wine farms in Stellenbosch, offering viticulture products, flora, and wildlife such as lions, leopards, tigers, and antelopes.
Stellenbosch - Founded in 1679 by Governor Simon Van Der Stel, Stellenbosch is known as the heart of South African wine country. The large number of oak trees lining the streets have given the town the nickname Eikestad (City of Oaks).
Stellenbosch University - One of the largest residential universities in the country, with buildings of various architectural styles. The Ou Hoofgebou (Old Main Building) was proclaimed a heritage site in 1973. We will pass through the university after a walking city tour, viewing the first Dutch Reformed Church (1687), the Village Museum, and the Schreuder House built in the 18th century. Visit the first trading store in Stellenbosch, Oom Samie se Winkel, and the Nelson Mandela monument.
Franschhoek Motor Museum - This museum offers a look back at over 100 years of motoring history, including the first car made in South Africa in 1897 and a bulletproof BMW used by Nelson Mandela. The museum belongs to Johann Rupert, Africa’s richest man. After the museum, we’ll drive vintage vehicles to the Terra Del Capo Cellar for wine tasting and lunch.
Anthonij Rupert Wyne Estate & Terra del Capo Tasting Room - Enjoy wine tasting and lunch at this venue. During peak tourism season, restaurant reservations may change to other venues around Franschhoek, such as La Grande Provence, La Motte, La Petite Ferme, or Le Lude.
Franschhoek - Known as the French Corner, Franschhoek’s history dates back to 1688-1860 when French refugees settled there, brought by the Dutch and VOC Company. It is now known as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa, with about 50 wineries and estates offering wine tasting facilities. We will have wine tasting at La Grande Provence and view the gallery.
Huguenot Memorial Museum - Since 1967, the museum exhibits period furniture, costumes, paintings, rare documents, genealogical archives, and several old bibles, including a Dutch State Bible printed in 1636. Visit the graceful three-arched memorial to the 17th-century Huguenot settlers. We will also visit the largest collection of corkscrews in Africa at the Old Corkscrew Antique Shop.
Groot Drakenstein Prison - Also called Victor Verster Prison, this is where Nelson Mandela spent the last two years of his imprisonment before his release on February 11, 1990. We will take a group or family photo here.
Paarl - Founded in 1960, Paarl is regarded as the capital and headquarters of the Afrikaners (Boers). It is home to the KWV Wine Estate and Distillery, once the largest wine organization in the world. The view of the Afrikaans Language Museum building is also notable.
Century City - Inaugurated in 2000, Century City is home to the world’s largest museum in bronze exhibits, mainly for veterans who fought against apartheid. The largest shopping center in the Cape, Canal Walk, is also located here, along with representatives of many world-branded companies.
Cape Town Central - Finally, we return to your hotel, the airport, or the cruise terminal, marking the end of our itinerary.
