• Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve - Located 60 km from Cape Town, this historic town of Paarl offers a stunning landscape of fynbos vegetation within the nature reserve, dominated by massive rounded granite rocks. Discover the Paarl Rock, a huge granite formation created by three rounded outcrops that form Paarl Mountain.

This is the second-largest granite outcrop in the world, with the other being The Uluru Rock in Australia.

• Afrikaans Language Monument - Pass by this striking language monument, which features various tapering structures of convex and concave shapes symbolizing the influences of different languages and cultures on Afrikaans itself. They also represent political developments in South Africa.
  At the base is an open stadium where concerts and events are held.
• Huguenot Tunnel - Travel through this 4 km long tunnel that extends the N1 freeway through the Du Toitskloof mountains, separating Paarl from Worcester.

The scenic drive begins here and continues to the Aquila Game Reserve. As you exit, you are greeted by a majestic valley with two mountain ranges along the highway towards Worcester.

The rocky and jagged-edged mountains are a marvel to behold, especially in the morning when the sun’s rays shine through.

• Worcester - Pass through this historic town in the Western Cape, located 120 km (75 miles) northeast of Cape Town.

Worcester is surrounded by the Du Toitskloof Mountains, the Slanghoek, Little Drakenstein, Elandskloof, and Lemiet mountain ranges. To the north, you are welcomed by the Hex River Mountains.

This is an absolutely stunning landscape that would impress any geographic topographer. In the center of the valley are vast stretches of vineyards and olive farms.

• De Doorns - Drive through this stunning yet relatively narrow valley. It is situated in the heart of the Hex River Valley, the center of a thriving grape-growing region with over 200 table grape farms.

This beautiful valley stretches 25 km long and measures only 4 km wide at its widest point. Look out for the towering peaks of the Hex River Mountains to the north and the Kwadouw Mountain Range to the south, which contribute to the region’s magnificent and rugged scenery.

Take in the view of the Matroosberg peak at 2230 meters, one of the highest in the Western Cape. The ideal weather and landscape enable locals to produce premium table grapes, largely for export.
