• Cape Town - 2) City Orientation Drive (10–15 min) — setting the scene
  We pass by the Castle of Good Hope, Company’s Garden, and Parliament, sharing how the mountain, ocean, and history have shaped Cape Town. This is kept brief to ensure an early arrival at the coast.
• Bo-kaap - 3) Bo-Kaap Walk (20–30 min) — exploring the pastel streets
  We stroll along Wale & Chiappini Streets, discussing Cape Malay heritage, spices, and community stories, and capturing photos with Signal Hill in the background. Walking is easy (±400–600 m). We keep voices low and doorways clear. Restrooms are available upon request.
• Atlantic Rail - 4) Atlantic Seaboard & Maiden’s Cove (30–45 min) — chasing the view
  We travel via Mouille Point, Sea Point, Bantry Bay, Clifton to Maiden’s Cove. We stop for postcard shots of Camps Bay under the Twelve Apostles (and sometimes Robben Island on clear days). It can be breezy, so jackets are zipped up and hats secured.
• Hout Bay - 5) Hout Bay Harbour & Market (30–40 min) — exploring the quay
  We browse craft stalls, enjoy barista coffee, and look for playful seals with Sentinel Peak towering above the boats. Facilities and snacks are available on the quay. A regroup time is agreed upon so cruisers and non-cruisers sync perfectly.
• Duiker Island - 6) Optional Seal Island Cruise (±40 min) — boarding if seas allow
  We take the ferry to Duiker Island (pay operator; weather-dependent; typically ~R120–R150 adult / ~R60–R75 child). We sit mid-ship if motion-sensitive and pack a windbreaker for ocean spray. If the cruise pauses for swells, extra harbour/photo time is added—no loss to the big sights.
• Chapman’s Peak Drive - 7) Chapman’s Peak Drive (20–25 min; toll included) — floating above the ocean
  We drive the legendary cliff-edge Chapman’s Peak Drive and pause at one or two viewpoints for epic photos. We stay behind barriers—gusts can be strong. Plan-B: if Chappies is closed (wind/rockfall), we reroute via Ou Kaapse Weg (Silvermine) and add a Noordhoek/Long Beach dune lookout—equally cinematic.

  We choose: walk the paved path (moderate incline, rails) or ride the Flying Dutchman Funicular (card-only; not tiered by nationality): Return R105 adult / R55 child (6–16); One-way R90 adult / R50 child; under-6 free with an adult. At the top, we enjoy 360° views over False Bay and the Atlantic, hear shipwreck legends, and use the café/shops/restrooms.

  We select from trusted eateries—fresh seafood with views or casual cafés with veggie/vegan options. We top up water, charge devices on the coach, and apply sunscreen for the penguins.

We take a leisurely drive through Simon’s Town, one of South Africa’s oldest towns and the base of the South African Navy. Its Victorian buildings, harbor views, and naval history give it a unique charm.
Guests learn about Just Nuisance, the only dog officially enlisted in the Navy, whose statue stands proudly in Jubilee Square.

We stop here for lunch at a seaside restaurant (own account). The guide can recommend top local spots — from fresh seafood to Cape Malay cuisine — all with views over False Bay.

• Cape Town Central - 18) Return to Cape Town (~17:00–17:30) — wrapping up the day smoothly
  We return (often via De Waal Drive) with Table Mountain in view and drop guests at their pickup/meeting point. If desired, we arrange Table Mountain cableway, Franschhoek Wine Tram, Robben Island pre-booked tickets, or a private peninsula upgrade for another day.
