- Bo-kaap - The tour begins with a 30-minute exploration of the lively Bo-Kaap houses. This segment includes a brief guided tour of the district, highlighting its rich history and significant role during the Apartheid era.
- Rhodes Memorial - We will pause for a short tour of the iconic monument dedicated to the famous industrialist Cecil John Rhodes. Gain insights into Rhodes’ historical importance while enjoying the monument’s location at the base of Table Mountain, offering breathtaking views of Cape Town’s renowned Cape Flats. This is an ideal spot for taking memorable photos.
- Muizenberg Beach - At Muizenberg Beach, enjoy the refreshing sea breeze at one of Cape Town’s most scenic beaches, known for its unique and colorful changing rooms. Take a leisurely walk along the shore and capture some stunning photos.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next destination is Boulder’s Beach, home to the African Penguin. Walk along the boardwalk for close-up views of these delightful birds—you might even see some walking beside you. Known as one of South Africa’s top beaches, Boulder’s Beach is perfect for taking memorable photos with the penguins.
- Cape Point Ostrich Farm - Before reaching the main highlight of our tour, we’ll visit the Cape Point Ostrich Farm. Enjoy a guided tour explaining the life cycle of ostriches, from egg to adult bird. The farm also includes a reptile park with some rare species. Feel free to have lunch at the on-site restaurant, where you can enjoy ostrich meat and eggs, before we proceed to Cape of Good Hope.
- Cape Point - Known as the corner of Africa where the cold Atlantic and warm Indian Oceans meet, the Cape of Good Hope is the most southwesterly point of the continent. Explore scenic hiking trails leading to breathtaking viewpoints and the famous Cape of Good Hope sign. Although Cape Point is often thought to be where the two oceans meet, it is actually where the warm Agulhas current and the cold Benguela current converge. You can walk or take a funicular (at your own cost) to South Africa’s third oldest lighthouse, offering a stunning 360-degree view of the national park. This lighthouse, launched in 1860, was decommissioned after 40 years due to its high altitude, which posed a danger to sailors in cloudy weather. A new lighthouse was built at a lower altitude for safer navigation.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - From Cape Point, we’ll embark on a scenic drive along Chapman’s Peak, a breathtaking coastal route showcasing Cape Town’s natural beauty. This road is celebrated as an engineering marvel. We’ll make stops for photos, allowing you to take in the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, dramatic cliffs, and pristine white sandy beaches.
- Hout Bay - On our return to the CBD, we’ll stop in Hout Bay, known for its beautiful coastline and Seal Island, home to 5,000 Cape fur seals. You can choose to take a 40-minute boat ride for a scenic tour around the island to view the seals up close. If you prefer not to take the boat trip, you can explore the local craft market or enjoy a short 10-minute walk to Hout Bay Beach. Please note that this optional activity may extend the tour by an hour.
- Camps Bay - Our final stop is Camps Bay, often referred to as the Beverly Hills of Cape Town. Depending on your interests, we can stop at various points such as Maiden’s Cove, where you can capture stunning photos of Table Mountain, Clifton, Camps Bay, and the famous Twelve Apostles mountains. On a good day, you might even spot whales, sharks, dolphins, and seals from these locations. From here we will drive past Bantry Bay, returning to the Cape Town CBD.
