AFROGEM - The tour begins with a visit to AFROGEM Diamonds, Tanzanites, and Gemstones jewelry design store.

Afrogem is a family-owned business that has been a leader in jewelry design and manufacturing since 1966. They were the first in South Africa to offer complimentary factory tours, a highlight for many tourists visiting the country.

Here, visitors can witness the art of diamond cutting and the meticulous craftsmanship of jewelry manufacturing by skilled experts, all while enjoying a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.

Camp’s Bay Beach - The journey continues to the breathtaking scenery of Camps Bay, often referred to as the Miami of Cape Town. Nestled at the foot of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the Twelve Apostles, this area is a hotspot for celebrities and tourists alike. A brief stop allows for photos, a stroll on the white sandy beach, and the chance to enjoy the fresh breeze from the blue flag sea. Visitors can grab a quick coffee at Starbucks or a light snack.

Hout Bay - A brief stop here allows visitors to see the seals, though there will be no boat ride. There are plenty of seals around for photo opportunities and interaction.

Chapman’s Peak Drive - Leaving Hout Bay, the tour proceeds onto the world-renowned Chapman’s Peak Drive, affectionately known as Chappies. This engineering marvel stretches 9km along the majestic Chapman’s Peak mountains, which cascade into the ocean like an avalanche. There will be opportunities to stop for photos, enjoy the spectacular breeze, and even write your name on Chapman’s Peak rocks.

Old Cape Point Lighthouse - Visitors can walk or take the funicular (at their own cost) up to South Africa’s oldest lighthouse for a 360-degree view of the national park. There are three ways to reach the top: a paved path along the coastline with several long stone staircases offering the best views, a steady climb from the car park, or the Flying Dutchman funicular, which reaches the viewpoint in just three minutes for a small fee.

Cape of Good Hope - Known as the corner of Africa, where the cold Atlantic and Indian oceans meet. The Cape of Good Hope is the most south-westerly point of Africa. Hiking trails to the summit offer great activity and sightseeing opportunities. The Cape of Good Hope sign is another attraction, often requiring guests to queue, as it is said that if there is no queue, there is no hope.

Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Home to thousands of endangered African Penguins, Boulder’s Beach Penguin Colony offers the chance to walk on the beach, interact, and take close-up photos of these charming flightless birds.

This concludes the day’s tour, after which visitors will return to Cape Town and be dropped off at their hotel.

Tokara Wine Estate - Located at the heart of the Cape Winelands on the southern slopes of the Simonsberg mountain, Tokara’s vineyards and olive groves offer unrivaled views over False Bay to Table Mountain.

Cheetah Outreach - Somerset West - Cheetah Outreach is an educational and community-based program aimed at raising awareness of the cheetah’s plight and campaigning for its survival. Visitors can tour the facilities, learn about the center’s mission and work, interact with the cheetahs, take photos, and then continue the tour.

Robben Island, Table Mountain, and Cape City Tour

Castle of Good Hope - The day begins with a visit to the Castle of Good Hope, one of South Africa’s oldest buildings and a historical landmark still open to visitors. It captures historical events dating back 350 years. The Key Ceremony and Canon Firing are part of the experience. Note: The Key Ceremony runs Monday to Friday; Cannon Firing does not occur on Sundays and is weather-dependent.

Bo-kaap - Known as the Malay Quarter, this multicultural neighborhood is predominantly Muslim and features colorful houses. Bo-Kaap has the largest concentration of pre-1850 architecture in South Africa and is Cape Town’s oldest surviving residential neighborhood. Visitors can experience the vibrant rainbow houses, learn about Bo-Kaap’s history and culture, taste delicious Cape Malay cuisine at a top restaurant, interact with locals, and take plenty of photos.

Robben Island Museum - Visitors will take a shared trip to the Robben Island Museum, where a resident tour guide will lead the tour. (Note: The tour guide/driver will not accompany visitors on the Robben Island Museum tour.) The entire tour lasts 4 hours, including a 30-minute boat trip each way and hotel drop-off. Part of the tour involves a bus ride around the island, visiting Nelson Mandela’s prison cell and taking The Long Walk to Freedom. Upon returning to the Jetty, the tour guide/driver will meet visitors at the entrance of the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island for the return journey.

City Hall - This is where the late former President Nelson Mandela delivered his first speech after being released from prison on February 11, 1990. On July 24, 2018, a statue of Nelson Mandela was unveiled on the balcony overlooking the Grand Parade, at the same spot where he made his speech.

Table Mountain - The tour includes a visit to the magnificent Table Mountain, one of the new seven wonders of nature. Visitors can take a cableway cart to the top and enjoy breathtaking views of the city and ocean, capturing as many photos as desired. On top of this iconic mountain, visitors will learn about its history, explore the area, see small animals like squirrels, and take pictures and videos.

After exploring, visitors can choose to walk down the mountain or take the cableway back, concluding the Table Mountain tour.
