David was an excellent... - David was an excellent tour guide. He provided me with incredibly eye-opening information, and I learned a lot about Cape Town and South Africa. At each stop, he gave me as much time as I needed to explore and take photos. He was also happy to take pictures of me whenever I asked. It was a fantastic tour where I learned something new at every moment. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Cape Town shore excursion leaves us wanting more. - Our private tour with our driver/guide David was enjoyable from beginning to end. There was a lot of ground to cover in 8 hours and David navigated us efficiently and comfortably. He was very informative and proud of his country. We learned that we want to return for an extended stay in the Cape Town area and we will call this tour operator if we do! One point to consider if the tour is scheduled for a Wednesday: we could not both drive the Chapman's Peak Drive and go to the island where we could see seals. On Wednesdays the CPD road is closed for maintenance between 10 am and 4 pm, and the only boat rides for the seals are at noon and 3 pm It is impossible to do both during the tour. Other than that, the tour was flawless. While we saw numerous remarkable sites, our highlight was the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. Even though we only had an hour to explore it, It may be the grandest garden we have ever visited. Next time it warrants several hours.

What a day on the Cape for 2 Irish travellers. - Our guide was David. He was superb: a gentleman, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate about Cape Town and the Cape peninsula. The almost 8 hour tour flew past. High lights for us were the Chapmans Drive, Cape Point and the National Park. We were brought to places we'd have never seen by ourselves. The fact of this being a private tour for my wife and I made it so personal, spending the day with a local friend who was proud to show us his homeland. We did this tour on our 1st day in South Africa and it was the most brilliant introduction to an amazing country and city. Thank you David for making our day so special.

Great driver, great journey - a must do experience for Cape Town - Great experience. This trip is a must do when visiting Cape Town because it takes you out of the city, away from the normal hub of things to do, such as Table Mountain, V&A Waterfront etc... and it shows you the rest of Cape Town in full scope. A great journey to do to get a bigger picture of Cape Town. The only thing I'd mark it 1 point down for, is once we got to Cape Point, the Furnicluar... the driver only gave us 1 hour to get lunch and explore and I feel this could have been longer because we were rushed to eat lunch and take the Furnicular - and if there's massive queues, you might find yourself cut short. Other than that, our driver David was really great to talk to, and he gave us a lot of information on Cape Town the whole journey through. We also had to bring a wheelchair along with us and I asked for a bigger vehicle, so we were given a shuttle van which was perfect to accommodate us with the wheelchair. So well done Batende Tours, great service!

Private Car and a Wonderful Tour - We had a private car tour with Mr. Paul that allowed maximum efficiency and flexibility to adapt the routing to our weather that day. It was an incredible experience and Paul did a wonderful job educating and joking well with us throughout our day. I would recommend this tour to those wanting to avoid the big buses and have a serious upgrade for the long day.

Best guide ever - We had the most amazing experience seeing the Cape and experiencing the different stops along the way, but the best part of our trip was Paul. He was the best guide we’ve ever had and we’ve been on many tours. His attention to detail and charming personality made the day go quickly.

We had expected more - Our guide wasn't waiting at the exit of the cruise port with a sign with our names on it. Only after 30 minutes of waiting in vain did he come up with this idea. The boat trip wasn't possible because the boat was fully booked. Chapman's Peak Drive was unfortunately not possible, because we were running late. If our guide had remembered, that the road closes at 10:00 AM, we easily could have made it before then. He simply drove past Muizenberg Beach. Only at our request did we turn around and make a very brief stop. Otherwise, it was okay.
