A live changing adventure, the Shark Explorers, Sardine Run - Silver Storm – Sardine Run with Shark Explorers
In South Africa’s wild and restless tide,
we followed the ocean, eyes open wide.
With Shark Explorers to lead the way,
we dove into chaos at the break of day.
A silver river beneath the waves,
millions of sardines in glimmering sways.
They danced like stars in liquid flight,
a living storm in morning light.
Dolphins carved paths through bait-ball haze,
cape gannets plunged in frantic blaze.
Our hearts beat fast with every dive,
in seas where predator and prey both thrive.
Humpbacks sang their haunting song,
as sharks moved silent, sleek and strong.
Eye to eye in the deep unknown,
in awe we floated, never alone.
No script, no plan, just ocean's will,
each moment raw, electric, still.
From rain-soaked decks to sunburnt skin,
we wore salt like medals — and sunscreen thin.
We cheered and gasped, we held our breath,
while our wetsuits clung to us like death.
Yet all we felt was life run wild—
plus maybe hunger, when lunch was styled.
To Shark Explorers, our deepest praise,
for guiding us through these sardine-crazed days.
You showed us where the wild ones run,
beneath the moon, beneath the sun.
And though we’ve left the sea behind,
its rhythm echoes in heart and mind.
A part of us remains out there—
where silver moves through ocean air.
With Garth, our skipper through storm and swell,
who dodged each wave like he knew them well.
Brocq and Jason, always cool and calm—
even with a shark three feet from your palm.
Donavan spotted bait balls from the sky,
and radioed in like a sardine spy.
His plane was small, his eyesight keen—
a flying fish-finding submarine.
Jana cared on every front with grace,
and somehow kept calm with wetsuits all over the place.
With snacks and help and perfect flow,
she knew what we needed before we’d know.
Theo, our travel mate full of cheer,
who brightened each day just by being near.
With wit, with charm, and ocean zest—
his laugh alone outswam the rest.
And Warren – the father figure true,
who kept us sane (well... most of us, too).
With dad jokes flying and stories wide,
he led our pod with heart and pride.

Do not miss out on this! - Came here to kick off our honeymoon in SA, and what A START! We had to move our day up 1 die to weather but no biggy! Once we got in the boat it all began! We had 3 groups doing the cage diving. The first group was unlucky in the first anchor so they quickly changed locations which brought out 3 sharks! We were last to go in, hoping they weren't full yet or annoyed by the seals, but holy hell we had 5 sharks all swimming at us from 1.5-2.8m long! The boat crew was amazing, they brought out snacks for those waiting on the boat. The energy of the group was electric!
10/10 highly recommend

Bronze Whaler Shark Diving - This was a lot of fun for my first shark diving adventure. I would highly recommend for an easy introduction to this activity. We only say Bronze Whaler Sharks. We were told the great whites to come into False Bay anymore. The Orcas drove them away.

Fun, safe and exciting shark viewing experience - Friendly crew, who are amazingly attentive to each guest. I was especially impressed with how they included my young son of 8. The views are amazing. The crew stopped the boat at Seal Island, giving us all the time to photograph the seals, adding value to our trip. Guides are incredibly knowledgeable, offering pieces of information about marine life and oceans. We had a great shark day, and the experience was fun, safe, and exciting. It's possible to view the sharks and photograph them from the boat. Small added extras and attention to detail like beverages and snacks offered, towels, and shower facilities made this tour amazing.

Great experience - My partner and I went shark cage diving today. We saw a heap of Bronze Whalers which all came right up close to the cage. We also got to see seals who were swimming around the cage too! The crew were great, kept up the energy and made sure everyone was looked after.

Sharks within Inches! - This was a great experience. We saw numerous bronze whaler sharks, right at the cage. No more than a couple minutes between them. Crew took such good care of us. The sharks are great looking predators for pictures!

Sharks! - It was great to get in the cage and see the huge sharks so close up. The whole boat crew does such a great job taking care of us! We saw bronze whaler sharks, very good-looking predators for pictures! They were right at the cage, never more than maybe 2 minutes without them in sight.

Amazing 5* experience - So so so so good. We were very lucky with the weather, thanks to Lindy ensuring we could rearrange due to bad weather on the day we booked. The crew were competent, informative and entertaining! We felt very safe and looked after and had an excellent experience all around.
