He creates local jobs and supports enthusiastic locals in advancing the townships beyond their apartheid history. Family experience - We had an amazing guide who is passionate about the community and committed to doing his part to make it better. The visit with the children at their school was eye opening and heartwarming. We were happy that our children could give something to the children in the little schools. Our daughter also got to give some jewelry to some girls. There was also a lot of togetherness in this township.
There was also a lot of tinkering. We bought homemade things there and ourselves a beautiful painting. We hope to have done our part.

Township tour to Langa - We took Imzu on a half-day tour through the township of Lange. The tour and Imzu themselves impressed us very much. We learned a lot about the history, politics and life of black people in SA.
Imzu also supports the people in his township with his own projects such as a soup kitchen or afternoon care for school children.
We got to know very interesting people that morning, but of course also the sad and partly hopeless side of life in Langa.
Since we were there on a Sunday, we also had the experience of getting to know a service with all its facets.
All in all, it was a great trip.
I would highly recommend Imzu Tours to anyone who wants to do such a tour in Cape Town.

Township tour with Imzu - a must have! - We booked a township tour with Imzu. It was a private tour of Langa. Imzu did a really good job. Since he lives in Langa himself, he is very well connected in his community and so you could experience real life in Langa once. It was not an 0815 standard tourist tour, but a real highlight and very individual. We never felt unsafe at all. Imzu explained a lot to us, a colorful mix of history and how life goes there. Nor is it a posed situation, but a real “eye-opener” and the other side, away from the megacity. I can only recommend a township tour at Imzu. Imzu is very friendly, humorous and always had an open ear for questions. Thanks Imzu for the great day🙌
A tip: if you like can treat yourself to a haircut at Moses Barber-Shop and at the same time support a young entrepreneur in the township 👍🏼

Half Day Tour in Langa - Great tour, with Ox as an outstanding guide ! He walked us through Langa and allowed us to get a sense of the daily Life of a township ! Impossible to understand Cape Town and South Africa without going in a township
Imzu is doing great things for the community, with a strong focus on education with its own NGO ! So no waste of time and no waste of money, a wonderful half day !

A true authentic learning experience - Great tour - you truly learn about the culture, history and community of the Langa township. The company takes the approach of allowing you to experience the community without feeling like a spectacle. Everyone we met was so friendly and I cannot recommend this tour enough if you want to experience and learn about South Africa.

iMzu Tours is AMAZING! Highly recommend. Go private if possible. - My husband and I had been referred to iMzu prior to going to SA and could not have been more pleased w the experience, his approach to sharing his culture and the incredible sites of the Cape Town landscape.
We had planned a township tour with him and were fortunate to beat the high season crowds to be able to extend into a 3 day experience after meeting him. Our second day was a full day trip to Cape of Good Hope with many stops along the way and a final day tour of 3 wine estates around Stellenbosch.
He is passionate about his business and keeping his clients safe, educated, and pleased; he grew up in the township and is similarly committed to supporting his community, helping the kids have a place to study/do homework, creating job opportunities for other hard working people from the township and to improving life for his family. We felt very encouraged that the cost of our tours would support these causes and perhaps be small step stones in the progress of a nation.

Guided tour Langa - Last October we went to Langa township with Mzu. It was a beautiful, but also an impressive experience. The tour was well organized and you get a good idea of life in a township. Highly recommended to visit it with Mzu!

A Most Moving Experience - Having just completed a tour of the Garden Route which ended with an extended stay in Cape Town, I was determined to try to visit a township and so was recommended IMzu Tours to the Langa township. Mzu himself picked myself and my wife up from our hotel and it was immediately evident that here was someone who exuded warmth, energy and determination in his quest to improve the lives of the people of the townships.
On entering Langa, Mzu first took us to the Community centre giving opportunities for employment and art based activities along with craft workshops where we were able to purchase some of the locally made pottery. We met and spoke to the people which was a real pleasure. We visited a nursery school, dancing and singing with the children who clearly enjoyed us being there.
Most poignant was walking through the maze of shack houses where living conditions were particularly bad.
This was a very moving experience and by encouraging the outside world to see what goes on here is the only way that things stand any chance of improving. Mzu and his company are making this possible and to anyone visiting Cape Town,I would strongly recommend that this is on their itinerary.
Thank you Mzu for giving us this opportunity to see the good work being carried out.

Great experience! - Such a great experience! Imzu is very nice and friendly, always willing to give us any kind of information. He collected us from our hotel this morning and accompanied us to the ferry terminal. We spent the morning in Robben Island, then he came again to the terminal to pick us up. He then accompanied US to Langa township. There a local tour guide, Khania, toured US in his township, showing US the Community Center and the life of the inhabitants of Langa. At last we didn't want tò get tò the hotel immediately so Imzu was so nice to drop us off in Boo-Kap where we spent some more time in autonomy.

Moving experience - The insight into the township's living environment was impressive and touched us a lot. Our guide explained a lot. Going to a school would have been nice. They visit a cultural center and a museum, which was interesting.
