• Huerto Ribera - Discover HUERTO RIBERA, a classic Valencian orange tree farm dating back to 1870, and spend a wonderful day immersed in nature in Carcaixent, the birthplace of the orange, just 40 km from Valencia.

We will stroll through gardens and orange groves, exploring citrus cultivation, its history, and learning about different citrus tree varieties, pruning, grafting, flowering, and irrigation. We will pick and taste various citrus fruits, visit our warehouse to sort and select oranges, and prepare the boxes that will be shipped to homes across Europe. You’ll gain firsthand insight into the current state of Valencian citrus farming in an exceptional setting.

At the end of the tour, you’ll have the chance to sample typical Valencian products sourced locally (orange sweets, Valencian liqueurs, homemade jams, orange blossom honey…).
You can travel by train from Valencia, and we can arrange a taxi for the group upon request, so please inform us in advance to book the taxi.

At Huerto Ribera, immerse yourself in everything there is to know about orange farming, explore its different varieties, and take a leisurely walk in our fabulous gardens. Familiarize yourself with other types of fruit crops we have (avocados, Buddha’s hand, lemons, kumquats, grapefruit, and more). Explore the exterior of our eclectic-style modernist house dating back to the 19th century. Pick your own oranges or tangerines when in season, tour our warehouse where we brush and sort the oranges before packing them for delivery, and conclude your visit with a sampling of handcrafted Valencian products! An encounter sure to engage all your senses!
