Memorable tour of medieval Carcassonne - Our guide, Julian, was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable about Carcassonne. As we toured the grounds and the cathedral, Julian gave a very engaging lecture on the history of the city, and included many interesting anecdotes. It was a fascinating hour and a half!

Fabulous Guide and Tour in Beautiful Area of France - In 2022, I took a private solo tour with Julien regarding the defenses of the Fortress of Carcassonne. He was a wonderful guide so when I decided in the Spring of 2024 to spend a little over a week in Cather Country, I contacted Julien and we worked together on an itinerary which included many of the small towns, fortresses, chateaus in the area of Carcassonne, Toulouse, Narbonne and the Pyrennes near Perpignan. Out of the 8 days I was in the area, Julien took me for 4 full day tours. It was a wonderful tour. He is so knowledgeable and personable. I learned so much about the area. A tour is really the way to go as it is a difficult area to find these gems in the countryside like Lastours, Queribus, etc. We went to so many historic sights, and saw magnificent views. Our itinerary included Frontfroide Abbey, Lagrasse village and abbey, Albi, the Toulouse-Latrec museum, Cordes Sur Ciel, Renness le Chateau and Collioure. Each one more interesting and more beautiful than the other. Or at least it seemed that way! The countryside is amazing and it was wonderful to be with someone so familiar with the cities and countryside and learn the history of the area as you are riding from place to place and then of course a detailed commentary of the destinations. I highly recommend Julien for a tour whether it is for an hour or multi day. He is a great tour companion and I had a really good time and learned a lot.

Had a lot of fun. Would do it again. - A fun and informative tour. We never caught the name of our guide and he was excellent. He shared a lot of details of the design and operation of the citadel as a defense system. Also shared regional factual history and tales. Well worth the time and money.

Fun and educational - Our guide was on time to the meeting point and began with a history of the citadel as well as some entertaining tales. He showed us the details of the fortification and defense features and led us through parts we would not normally have found. His passion for the history of the castle was contagious
