Discover how to pair wine with a selection of regional foods, recognize key flavors and aromas, and explore what makes Languedoc one of the most exciting wine regions in the world today. The session covers the history of winemaking from Roman times to the present, discussing important topics such as sustainability, organic and natural wines, and the impact of regionality on wine flavor. Participants will explore what makes Languedoc so fascinating by tasting key local varietal wines and some of the finest Languedoc blends. Expect to taste between 6 and 8 different wines, accompanied by a light selection of local cheeses, charcuterie, olives, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and freshly baked bread. These tastings are available in English, French, or Spanish.

Participants will enjoy a presentation and tasting of six to eight wines, complemented by a light cheese and charcuterie platter. Guests will gain insights into wine tasting techniques, the local wine history of the region, and details about winemaking and grape varieties. Feel free to ask any questions and enhance your understanding of the region’s wines. While the minimum booking is for two people, individual guests are welcome to join pre-scheduled tastings. SUPER ENTERTAINING! - Had an officially brilliant afternoon with Alex. Alex is the perfect host and his knowledge of wine wide and fascinating. I thoroughly recommend spending an afternoon or evening, maybe both, with him.

Wine, food and culture - As a couple we booked this experience and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Alex was wonderfully knowledgable and able to translate his love of the wine, food and region to us in a way which made us fall in love with France, French culture food and wine even more.
Alex is clearly an expert in his field who communicated an education to us which captivated us thoroughly, taking us on a journey, through the whole process of wine making, exploding myths and opening our eyes to new ways of appreciating the whole culture of wine, its history and the revolutions the industry has gone through throughout the ages.
I couldnt recomend this experience more, great food, great wine and great company.

Best Wine Tasting Experience - The owner provided us a wonderful wine tasting experience, Langaduc wine region overview and history. The food was a tasty compliment to the wine tasting. Would highly recommend this experience for novice and wine aficionados!

Great wine tasting activity! - Alex was very knowledgeable. We tasted 6 lovely wines and the cheese/meat board was delicious as an accompaniment. When our taxi didn’t respond he even drove us back to our hotel. I would highly recommend doing this activity!!

Everything was perfect! - We had the tasting with Alex in English. He was super friendly and the atmosphere was very good. We were able to taste 9 wines (red, white, rosé & sparkling) and learned a lot about the history, cultivation, grape varieties and the origin of wines. There was also a regional cheese and meat platter. Everything was perfect. Would recommend it immediately!

A regional wine experience not to miss. - This was one of the most interesting and thorough wine tasting education opportunities that we have had. Alex was knowledgeable and patient with our questions. He chose an interesting and delicious tasting array as well as a perfectly paired cheese and charcuterie selection. We were joined by a delightful couple, Paul and Claire. We highly recommend.

Fabulous- highly recommended wine tasting course in centre of Carcasonne! - Did this wine tasting afternoon with two friends. It’s really excellent. The host, Alex, is very knowledgeable and we are learned a great deal. We learned about wine, grapes, and the wine-making process in general. We also ate fresh sour-dough bread, with multiple types of cheese and sausage, along with delicious hummus. He does not push any particular style of wine in particular. If you’re in two minds, do it.
