Describing Bonaire Washington Slagbaai National Park as beautiful and unspoiled is an understatement.
Uncover its wonders on this unique guided tour through hidden coves, secluded beaches, salt lakes, and enchanting watering holes. Originally inhabited by the Caiquetio Indians, Bonaire Washington Park is the first nature sanctuary of the former Netherlands Antilles.
Established in 1969 and situated in the northwest part of the island, it encompasses about one-fifth of Bonaire. It included Slagbaai, the largest and most productive plantation during the colonial era.
Today, Bonaire Washington Slagbaai National Park and its untouched beaches serve as a vital nesting ground for the sea turtles that visit the island’s waters. With a flexible itinerary, there are ample opportunities to admire and photograph the flora and fauna in their natural environments.
