Great tour: fantastic intro to the food scene & people making it happen in Carlsbad - Our Carlsbad food tour with guide David was a trip highlight. The connection was immediate from the moment we met him. When he learned we'd already visited two spots on the planned route, he adapted without missing a beat. The stops ranged from Village Kabob's whipped tzatziki and light dolmathes to housemade pasta at Chiotti's. Then craft beer and lively energy at Pizza Port, standout tacos al pastor with a unique serrano chile salsa at Señor Grubby's, and exceptional gelato at GelatoLove. And I had no idea that phyllo flakes are what put Dubai chocolate over the top?! Along the way we met owners, bartenders, and a limoncello maestro; all of whom made the experience a genuinely personal introduction to the interesting people making the food scene a reality in this coastal village. More than just a tasting, it was a window into the community and character of Carlsbad. We left full and informed on history. Ready to book the restaurants on David's must-visit list. Loved it. Thank you David!

One Sweet please! - Our guide was excellent! My only negative was that I think there should only be one sweet and that should be the donuts. They were amazing!!

Another great food tour - Great food tour. Our guide, Trip, was a friendly gregarious host. As well as taking us for excellent food, he was extremely knowledgeable about the local area and history. Recommend this tour for anyone.

Good but not great - We enjoyed the tour and Ben was a good tour guide. The reason for the three star and maybe not recommending it was compared to foods we have done in Encinitas there was a lack of history, the restaurants were close together, so not enough time to walk and enjoy the town and the tour says three hours in fact it was 2 1/2 hours so for $88 I think it’s a little pricey.

Mediocre Food Tour - The guide started out engaged with us but then seemed distracted as the tour went on. The group all sat together at the first restaurant which was great as we all got to know each other. Then we were in separate tables for the rest of the tour and there were clearly tables for 8 that we could have sat at. The first restaurant’s food was delicious and the server was very friendly to us all, not so much at the other venues. Also, the guide was serving us at one of the restaurants, which was odd. At one place, there was no offer of a drink of water or anything to drink. Somewhat disappointed
