We'll meet at the top of the steps opposite the ticket window at the Sunset Cultural Center. There is a free parking lot on the north end of the Sunset Cultural Center. There is also free all-day street parking on any of Carmel’s streets south of 8th Avenue.

Amazing experience! - Toby knows the entire town. Great walking tour! He showed us the highlights as well as some neat architecture / shops.

A Must Do Experience! - What a great experience! I learned so much about Carmel and the region. My guide (Doug) was amazing and I felt like I was experiencing the town and tastings with an old friend. Each stop was unique and so informative. This tour is great for anyone who loves to take in some history/fun facts and is curious about wine. Novice and pro winos alike will enjoy this experience!

Fun time - Toby was a fabulous tour guide. His knowledge of wine and the city of Carmel by the Sea is beyond! He made everyone in our group feel at ease and comfortable with asking questions. The walking around was easy and delightful. Highly recommend this tour!

A highlight of Carmel-by-the-sea - Toby is the consummate host. Knowledgeable, approachable and extremely witty. My wife and I learned a ton and enjoyed great wine and company.

A Delightful Way to Spend an Afternoon in Carmel-by-the-Sea - Toby was a delightful tour guide for this walking tour of Carmel-by-the-Sea. He provided great insight into the wines we tasted as well as commentary about the lovely town. He is clearly a local celebrity (he knew someone random everywhere we went) and had great suggestions for in-town restaurants and activities around town and in nearby areas. We have taken a number of wine tours around the world and this was definitely one of our favorites.

Great tour- super fun and we learned a lot! - We had a wonderful time doing this tour! We learned a lot about Carmel and about wine. Toby was an amazing guide! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about the city, and especially to wine lovers.

No power-No problem! - Despite a city-wide power outage in Carmel-by-the-Sea, our wine tasting tour with Tobi was an absolute blast and a total highlight of our trip! Even though the lack of electricity forced one of our planned destinations to close, Tobi didn’t miss a beat; he arranged for an extended, extra-special experience at one of the other tasting rooms that more than made up for it. Tobi is such a charismatic guide—he seamlessly wove in fascinating historical details about the area, and we even had the incredible luck of meeting the Mayor! We were having so much fun that we completely lost track of time. If you want a resilient, top-tier experience that turns a literal dark situation into a glowing memory, this tour is a must.

An Insider’s Peek Into Carmel-by-the-Sea with WINE! - My husband and I spent a long weekend in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and after doing a lot of research and reading many reviews, I selected this Wine and Wanderings Tour for our first full day there, to help give us our bearings of the town and its history — with wine! It turned out to be the absolute highlight of our trip! Toby is a true gem — might as well be the mayor of the town for everything and everyone he knows in Carmel. The wines were exquisite, the tasting rooms intentional and next-level, and the “hidden gems” seen during the tour shared a sense of local flavor we would never have gleaned otherwise. We got a true insider’s peek into Carmel and had the most amazing time! Thank you, Toby!
