Great! - Great! Had communication with them prior to our arrival. Said just to come by any time between 10-5. In San Juan off of a cruise ship so got off ship and went right there by Uber. Easy to do! Found shack on the beach right where they said it would be. Lesson was for four adult kids. Hubby and I rented beach chairs at the hotel there. When we got there no one else there so kids got a private lesson. Instructors then went in the water with them and helped them catch waves the entire time. They could stay and surf for as long as they wanted. “Kids” had a great time!! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent experience! - Great intro to surfing. Ray was very nice and helpful. Had a lot of fun and it got me interested enough that I will keep learning how to surf. They even let me keep the board to practice on.my own for a few hours after we finished the lesson. Great way to have fun and learn a new hobby!

Peru for Less is the Best - Peru for Less was the best travel agency experience I’ve ever had. The planning down to every detail and the communication were top notch. We mentioned the cities we wanted to visit and of course Machu Picchu and Adrienne recommended some additional activities. The service during our trip was impeccable with private drivers and guides in the vehicle, 24/7 emergency line with quick response for assistance and excellent tour guides for our experiences.

Peru for less, a fantastis 20 day tour of Peru. - Peru for Less did an excellent job on our custom 20 day tour of Peru. Even with all the different tours and activities, there was always a Peru for Less representative waiting to start us on our next adventure.

Great introduction to surfing! - This is a great introduction to surfing; the beach location is ideal as there are no rocks in the sand and waves are consistently large enough. The instructor I worked with was very kind and helped me build skill/confidence to the point that I was able to catch some waves and stand on the board! I was able to borrow the board for another hour after the lesson period finished to continue practicing.

A gnarly experience - We came on a clear and beautiful day, the waves were perfect for learning, and the guide (although I don’t remember his name) was super awesome. He explained things thoroughly, and was there to guide and help us catch waves. It was an even better experience than I could have anticipated! I highly recommend Waterworld Surfing School at the Marriott.

Positive experience but not best for short people - Lots of instructors in the water keeping everyone safe and moving the group back together as people drifted off or the tide changed to make certain parts of the coast have deeper water. Good instructions and tips from instructors all of whom were very friendly. In front of a hotel with lots of beach chairs for members of family not doing the lessons. I had a great time as a beginner and managed to stand up in time to ride the end of a few waves.
This is not lil kiddy waves but actual ones so it can be hard getting the board and urself far out enough to have enough time to stand while you surf back but instructors help you through it at least in the beginning while you are learning. If you are short or don’t know how to swim I dont recommend this because after a certain point u have to be the one to walk/swim ur board out to a point where you can surf back in and the water (at least when I went ) was 5 foot normal and up to 8 or so with waves

Smaller groups and more personal teaching needed for the price - A regular introduction course to surfing. Me and my girlfriend arrived for the morning's first class and needed to wait for 90 minutes for it to start as the teachers wanted to wait for a large group. As the large group arrived, there were around 15 beginners for 3 teachers. As a result, there was no personal teaching but we tried to surf independently for an hour before leaving.

Not worth the money - Our instructor on Sunday Feb 16 was pretty disinterested and low energy. He spent about 5 min coaching us on how to get on the board on land and then spent the next 45 min helping us catch waves in the water. The next hour was completely unsupervised practice time where we received no coaching at all. All in all, it was a fun experience learning how to surf but not sure it was worth $75 per person

Ability to swim is required! - The ad falsely states that no swimming experience is necessary. This was the sole reason we chose this company, as my sister in law can’t swim. However, Victoria, our instructor said that was not the case and swimming was very much necessary. I have contacted the owner to let him know that his ad is false and have requested a refun. Have not yet received it.
