- Pietrasanta - The next destination is Pietrasanta. This town and comune is located on the northern Tuscan coast in Italy, within the province of Lucca. Pietrasanta is part of Versilia, nestled at the base of the Apuan Alps. With Roman origins, remnants of the Roman wall are still visible. The medieval town was established in 1255 on the site of the “Rocca di Sala” fortress by Luca Guiscardo da Pietrasanta, from whom it derives its name. At its peak, Pietrasanta was part of the Republic of Genoa (1316–1328). Here, savor a meal at a local trattoria—it’s truly worthwhile!
- Knights’ Square - A stop will be made here for a photo opportunity! Piazza dei Cavalieri is home to the renowned “School,” “La Scuola Normale Superiore,” founded by Cosimo dei Medici and reconstructed by Napoleon in 1806.
- Pisa - Delight in the splendor of Piazza dei Miracoli! The tour will pause in front of the Leaning Tower, one of the world’s most iconic monuments. Remember, Pisa boasts two Leaning Towers!

The journey will continue to Pietrasanta, a charming town and comune located on the northern Tuscan coast in Italy, within the province of Lucca. Pietrasanta is part of Versilia, nestled at the base of the Apuan Alps. The town boasts Roman origins, with remnants of the Roman wall still visible.
Founded in 1255 on the site of the pre-existing “Rocca di Sala” fortress of the Lombards by Luca Guiscardo da Pietrasanta, the town was named after him. Pietrasanta reached its peak as part of the Republic of Genoa from 1316 to 1328.
The tour will then proceed to Pisa, renowned worldwide for its iconic Leaning Tower (which is not the only one!). The group will visit Piazza dei Cavalieri before returning to the port.
