Beautiful caves, wonderful guides, majestic dolphins! - 5 STARS! I WANT TO GO AGAIN! We had a great time on the XRide Caves and Dolphins tour - thank you so much! We had a toddler with us (just under two years old) and I was a bit nervous about how how safe the boat would be for him or if he would get scared but the boat was really steady and we all absolutely loved it! Our ride was on Fri 7th Nov at 10am and the tour guides (Valero? Raul? I cannot remember your names, sorry!) were so funny and professional and well-informed about the area and clearly loved their job and have great people skills. We had a beautiful tour around the Benagil caves and were lucky enough to see a pod of about six dolphins! I knew that this was not guaranteed but it just made it feel so special. There was also an opportunity to stop and have a swim in the water and one brave (crazy?) passenger decided to give it a go. Really brilliant experience and a lovely activity for friends and family members of all ages. Really recommend this tour!

Fantastic - Well worth the money and a ‘must do’ trip - Fantastic experience visiting the caves including the Benagil cave. Crew were very sociable and pointed out lots of interesting things. We even found some orcas which was truly amazing!! Very talented and experienced crew.

Terrific Excursion - From start to finish, a well organized and enjoyable experience. The Crew were friendly, spoke a variety of languages and were helpful. At the beginning many people gathered around their banner after checking in at the kiosk, at the appointed time crew showed up and efficiently arranged us in two groups according to boarding pass colour. Boarding was easy, 36 - 40 per boat. Unlike the "rib boats" where you straddle the seats this boat had actual seats. During the cruise we visited spectacular caves and landmarks. Not a bumpy ride at all. 2.5 hours in total. Crew checked on passengers frequently, especially children, brought jackets to those kids who were cold, and answered questions. Highly recommend this company if you're considering this excursion. Price was $30 each. Good value! Bring a jacket, it can be cool and windy on the open ocean.

Very nice excursion rich in discoveries - Very nice experience, very kind staff especially Victor who gave many explanations in several languages including French. The comments were interesting with lots of anecdotes and very nice song excerpts. Very good conduct also from Captain Wagner. We were lucky enough to be able to observe dolphins swimming nearby. It was magical, our grandson was delighted!!! On the other hand, you have to dress well because it is cold on the boat. Thank you for this great time!!!

Fantastic walk along the coast - Fantastic walk organized by the coast of the Algarve, allowing to know places inaccessible from land. The sighting of wild dolphins was not possible on the date we made it (Oct 2025), but it was still worth the walk.

Excellent crew - The always friendly staff and attentive to anyone who might feel bad, explain everything that goes on step by step so all the time you know what the next step is. They speak multiple languages, which is good for anyone who wants to know. The possibilities of seeing the dolphins are not absolute but between the boats communicate so that we all have the experience from a safe distance for them.

Beautiful cruise - We found the boat very clean we seen the dolphins quit close to the boat. The caves were amazing words can’t describe how mind boggling they are and the cliffs. The crew was outstanding. Raul,Hugo and Yaro were top notch they were very friendly very knowledgeable and very funny. They are not paid enough. They made a point to speak to everyone. Can’t say enough about them. I believe Roul was the captain he was unbelievable how got the boat in and out of the caves. Thanks to you all

Great experience - Great experience! The crew made us welcome from the second we arrived and really looked after everyone. I'd thoroughly recommend. We booked for a smaller boat, but due to the sea conditions, we went on a larger one. This did not detract at all from the experience as the crew spoke to everyone and provided a very personalised service.

Benagil - Great company and very well organised. Great views of the Caves and stunning coastline. Staff very friendly and professional. Unfortunately due to waves / swell could not swim or enter the caves and the Dolphins and Whales did not wish to appear but still fabulous trip out.

Deception - The guides were super nice and tried to do their best, but the whole tour was a deception. We noticed already in the port that there were few other tourists or tour operators present. Once we were at sea, it became clear why. The sea was very wild that day, so other touring providers had decided not to sail, only xride and another provider (dreams) decided to sail. The other tour providers had already thought of this a day in advance and therefore cancelled or transferred everything. Xride, however, allowed it to continue. Once at sea it turned out that we were not allowed to enter the cave at all because of the wild sea. The coast guard was checking and we could only see the caves at a bit greater distance. This was also not widely communicated on the spot. It is that we personally chatted with the crew, who then told us that we were not allowed to enter the cave and were only going to sail past it because of the wild sea. The other tourists on the boat, were not told this and were until the end under the impression that we were going to visit the cave and reacted very surprised when we went back again, without a cave visit (and a lot of people who were seasick because of the big waves). What surprised us very much was that this was apparently known in advance that the cave might not be able to be visited because of the wildness of the sea. It would have been a lot fairer if they had told us this before leaving. Then we could have made a choice ourselves to move the tour. Now we had booked the tour specifically for the cave, the dolphins were subordinated to this (which we have not seen, by the way, due to the wildness of the sea). It feels to us now that earning from tourists is more important than communication, choice and safety.
