Within about an hour, the tour reaches the Sahara Desert, where camels await. After a rest, accompanied by a guide, guests will ride the camels and cross the high dunes of Erg Chebbi desert, witness a magnificent sunset atop a high dune, and continue trekking to the camp for an overnight stay in tents like the nomads use. Guests will enjoy a cup of tea with them and observe their way of life. The tour then follows the route where the Paris-Dakar Rally used to race, reaching the Mifis mines, once exploited by France, for a visit. The journey continues to Khamlia village, inhabited by black Berber people originally from Mali and Niger, where guests will have the chance to listen to their music and dance. Lunch is in the village (Berber Pizza). The tour then visits an impressive oasis on the edge of the sand dunes before ending the day at the hotel.
Merzouga ⇨ Rissani ⇨ Arfoud ⇨ Todra Gorges ⇨ Dades Valley
Rissani Market - After breakfast at the hotel, the tour leaves the vast desert and travels towards the city of Rissani, once a major stop on the Saharan caravan route.
