Rabat - Following breakfast at the hotel in Casablanca, the day begins with an optional visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, featuring the tallest minaret and the third-largest mosque globally, accommodating 25,000 worshipers. The journey then continues to Rabat, Morocco’s capital and administrative, political, and financial hub. Explore its distinct neighborhoods and visit notable landmarks such as the Alcazaba of Oudaias, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Tower Hassan, and the serene Moroccan souk. RABAT - ASILAH - TANGIER
Tangier - After a satisfying breakfast at the Riad, travel along the Atlantic Coast through the charming white city of Asilah, with a history dating back to 1500 B.C. Asilah was built by the Idrisid dynasty and later reconstructed by Cordoban caliph Al Hakam II in 966. The Portuguese fortified the city in 1471. The journey proceeds directly to Tangier, located at the confluence of the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, near the western entrance of Gibraltar. Dinner and overnight stay.
TANGIER - RIFF MOUNTAINS - CHEFCHAOUEN
Chefchaouen - After breakfast at the hotel, travel through the Riff Mountains, enjoying the lush landscapes and capturing stunning panoramic views en route to Chefchaouen. This unique city is known for its whitewashed walls and blue doors and windows. Influenced by Spanish culture and architecture, Chefchaouen offers attractions such as the Kasbah, the Ras El Maa river valley, and a 30-minute hike to the hillside Spanish Mosque. CHEFCHAOUEN - VOLUBILIS - MEKNES - FES
Fes - After breakfast at the Riad, the journey continues through the Riff Mountains and the white city of Ouazzan to the Roman site of Volubilis, showcasing beautiful mosaics from 25 BC. The trip proceeds to the imperial city of Meknes, featuring attractions like the Bab Mansour gate, Sahrij Souani, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismael. Arrive in Fes in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at the Riad.
EXPLORING FES MEDINA
Fes - After breakfast at the Riad, embark on a guided exploration of the Fes medina, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Driss II. Highlights include the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter (the first Mellah in Morocco, built in the 16th century), the world’s oldest university Al Qarawiyin, the Tanneries, and the Moulay Driss mausoleum. Enjoy panoramic views of the Medina. Dinner and overnight stay at the Riad.
FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - MIDDLE ATLAS - ZIZ GORGES - ZIZ VALLEY - MERZOUGA
Merzouga - After breakfast, head south through Ifrane and Azrou, crossing the Middle Atlas mountains. Stop at the cedar forest to see Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Continue through the Tizi N’talghamt pass to Midelt, known for apple production, for lunch. Journey through the Ziz valley, admiring volcanic rock views in the Ziz gorges, and reach the vast Ziz oasis with millions of palm trees. Travel along a scenic route transitioning to the desert, arriving in Merzouga in the late evening. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel near the sand dunes.
MERZOUGA DESERT TOUR - CAMEL TREK AND SUNSET
Merzouga - After a delightful Moroccan breakfast at the hotel, explore the Merzouga Sahara desert. Begin with a tour of the Erg Chebbi dunes, then experience the Nomadic lifestyle by sharing tea with a Nomad family. Visit Khamelia, the “Black village,” to enjoy a Gnawa music concert. After lunch, continue through a wild oasis and picturesque desert scenery. Return to the hotel to prepare for a night in the nomad desert camp. Enjoy a 90-minute camel ride across North Africa’s highest sand dunes, witnessing the sunset before reaching the Bivouac. Dades Gorges - Rise early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a camel ride back to the hotel. After breakfast, visit Rissani, the largest and busiest weekly market in southern Morocco, featuring craft stores, a dates market, and animal trades. Continue to Erfoud, known for fossilized marbles, and visit a marble fossil workshop. Lunch in Touroug, then proceed to the Todra gorges, famous for rock climbing and its towering rock walls. DADES GORGES - ROSES VALLEY - SKOURA - OUARZAZATE
Ouarzazate - After a delicious breakfast at the Kasbah, travel to the Roses valley (Kalaat M’gouna), renowned for the “Roses Festival” held annually in May. Discover the town’s beauty, rose products, handicrafts, and agricultural offerings. Follow the “Road of One Thousand Kasbahs” to Skoura, a tranquil village with palm groves and the iconic Kasbah Amridil, a living museum from the 17th century. Explore the red mud buildings and high walls, still home to some families. Ait Ben Haddou, located on a hill overlooking the Ounila River, has featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue through the High Atlas mountains and ‘Tizi N’tichka’ pass, Morocco’s highest road pass at 2260m, offering breathtaking mountain views. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at Riad Jnane Mogador.
