Meknes - The journey continues to Meknes, where the historic imperial city is explored. Highlights in Meknes include Bab Mansour, Place Hedim, Dar Jamai Museum, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
Volubilis - The tour proceeds to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, which are among the most significant in Northern Africa. Volubilis, also known as Walili, was founded by the Berbers in the 3rd century BC at the base of Mount Zehroun in the Gharb plain.
Fes - The day concludes in Fes, with an overnight stay in a local riad or hotel.
FES SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Bab Bou Jeloud - After breakfast, a guided tour of the medina, one of the world’s largest walled cities, begins. Guests will stroll through narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, spice mounds, intricately woven Berber rugs, and various Moroccan art pieces. Visits to local souks, including Souk Attarine, Bab Boujloud with its green and blue pottery, Melah, and the 17th-century Ibn Danan synagogue, are included.
Chouara Tannery - The tour also includes a visit to Chouara Tannery, the largest and one of the oldest tanneries in Fez, located in the Fes el Bali, the city’s oldest medina area, near the Saffarin Madrasa on the Oued Fes.
Fes el-Bali - The guided tour continues with visits to the Quaraouiyine Mosque, founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihri, and the Andalusian Mosque, built in 860. Guests will see fountains such as the Nejjarine fountain, Medersas (Koranic schools) dating back to the 13th century, and Batha Palace, now a museum of arts and customs. Overnight accommodation is provided in a local hotel or riad.
FES - IFRANE – AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT
Ifrane - Guests are picked up from their hotel in Fes early in the morning to head south. A stop in Ifrane, known as “Switzerland of Morocco,” allows for enjoying its beauty and capturing memorable photos.
Azrou - The journey continues to Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest. Azrou is a Berber term referring to the shape of the relief, and the city’s name comes from a large rocky mountain within the city.
Midelt - The tour proceeds to Midelt for lunch at a restaurant. Midelt is a small village at a medium altitude, located at the foot of Mount Ayachi, between the Middle and High Atlas. It is known for its apples and serves as a convenient stopover between Fez and the desert.
Erfoud - In the afternoon, the tour continues to Erfoud, crossing the TIZI N TALGHAMT pass to reach Errachidia while enjoying views of the Ziz gorges. A stop is made for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley. Erfoud, known as the “Gate to the Sahara,” is a small oasis in the southeastern Moroccan Sahara Desert, famous for its palm groves, fossils, and dates. A visit to a local fossil craft workshop is recommended.
Merzouga - The tour proceeds to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as Merzouga Dunes. Guests arrive at the hotel and prepare for a camel ride to witness the sunset. The night is spent in a traditional nomad tent, with dinner and breakfast provided in a bivouac in the heart of the sand dunes.
MERZOUGA - ERFOUD- TINEJDAD - TODRA GORGES - DADES GORGES
Merzouga - Guests wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Sahara Desert dunes, followed by breakfast. Afterward, they ride camels back to the hotel for a shower.
Rissani - The tour explores Rissani, a small oasis town in Morocco at the northwest edge of the Sahara desert, known for the Alaouite dynasty’s Center for Studies and Research. A visit to the local souk is included.
Gargantas del Todra - The journey continues to Tineghir, passing through Erfoud and Tinejdad, with a lunch break. In the afternoon, the tour visits the Todra gorges via Tineghir, stopping for photos and enjoying the scenery along the way. Guests arrive at Todra Gorges to hike through the canyons and take in the breathtaking views.
Dades Gorges - The tour proceeds to Boumalne du Dades or Kalaa M’gouna, with a stop for a panoramic view of the Dades gorge. Dinner and an overnight stay are provided at the hotel.
DADES - KELAA M’GOUNA - OUARZAZATE - AIT BENHADDOU- MARRAKECH
Vallee Des Roses - After breakfast at the hotel, the tour departs for the Valley of Roses. The city is known for its “Ahidouss” dance and exquisite roses, earning it the nickname “The Valley of the Roses.” The Assif M’Goun river winds its way down to the settlement of Kalaat M’Gouna, carving the Valley of the Roses.
Ouarzazate - After breakfast, the tour heads to Ouarzazate via Skoura, stopping for a panoramic view of Taourirt’s kasbah and another photo stop near Atlas Film Studios. Ouarzazate, the cinema capital located south of the High Atlas Mountains, is a former military town and the gateway to Morocco’s Great South.
Ait Ben Haddou - The tour visits the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, with lunch at a local restaurant in the village. Ait Ben Haddou is Morocco’s most famous “fortified town” or ksar/Kasbah, located in the province of Ouarzazat in the Draa-Tafilalet region of southern Morocco.
Marrakech - In the afternoon, the tour drives to Marrakech over the High Atlas mountains, passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Guests are dropped off at their hotel or riad in Marrakech.

Jemaa el-Fnaa - The tour meets at the hotel. The day is dedicated to sightseeing in Marrakech, the second oldest imperial city, known as the “Pearl of the South.” The itinerary includes visits to the souks and the world-famous Djemaa El Fna, offering a variety of entertainment such as storytellers, acrobats, snake-charmers, magicians, and more.
Saadian Tombs - The tour includes a visit to the Saadian tombs, a historic royal necropolis in Marrakesh, located on the south side of the Kasbah Mosque.
Menara Gardens and Pavilion - Guests visit the Menara gardens, a historic public garden and orchard in Marrakech, founded in the 12th century by the Almohad Caliphate’s monarch, Abd al-Mu’min. Since 1985, the gardens, along with the Agdal Gardens and the old walled city of Marrakesh, have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Medina of Marrakesh - The tour explores the best of the Medina of Marrakesh, the historic center of Marrakech and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is a must-visit for most travelers.
