Please note that this tour does not include time in Casablanca, so consider arriving a day early to explore the city and visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque, accessible only through guided tours. The adventure begins tonight with a meeting with your tour leader at 6 pm, where trip details and information will be reviewed. This is an opportunity to ask questions about your daily itinerary. After introductions, the tour leader will take you for an optional local dinner, providing a chance to get to know your fellow travelers.

Casablanca-Meknes-Volubilis-Fes Overnight
Meknes Medina - Start early, driving through the rolling hills to Meknes for a guided visit of the old Medina. Enjoy lunch in Meknes before continuing to Volubilis for an afternoon guided tour of the best-preserved Roman ruins in Northern Africa, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Proceed to Fes for an overnight stay, preparing to explore its old Medina the following day.

Fes - After breakfast, follow a local guide who knows the streets of the old Medina intimately. Stop at one of the ancient tanneries and enjoy the view from above. Participate in a half-day Medina walking tour, with free time in the afternoon to explore more of the city. Visit a Quranic school in the old Medina. The Fes Medina is one of the world’s largest medieval medinas and a UNESCO site. Explore the artisan quarters, sample treats from the carts, and view Fès’ famous leather tannery from above.

Fes-Ifrane-Midelt-Arfoud-Merzouga
Merzouga Desert - Today involves a long drive through the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains, ending with a camel ride to your camp. After a long drive from Fes, arrive in Merzouga to meet your camels and ride for about 80 minutes to the deep dunes for an overnight stay. Local guides will teach you to play drums, and in the evening, listen to stories while dinner is served under the stars. You can even climb the dunes for amazing pictures and sunset views.

Todra Gorges - Rise early to ride camels and watch the sunrise before returning to Merzouga for a warm breakfast. Continue driving to Todra Gorges for a short walk through Berber villages and visit the deepest gorges in North Africa.

Todra Gorges/Ait Benhaddou Kasbah/Marrakesh
Ait Ben Haddou - Travel along the “Route of 1000 Kasbahs” and pass through Ouarzazate, home to the Atlas Studios where many films have been shot, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. Drive to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a wonderful example of a Moroccan kasbah. Enjoy a guided tour and lunch at the Kasbah before crossing the High Atlas mountains to Marrakesh. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage site and Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou with your tour leader. Of all the remaining Kasbahs in Morocco, the walls and interior here are the most intact. The Kasbah still houses a few families, but many now live in the adjacent village. Like many earthen-built fortresses in Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou has been featured in numerous film and television productions like Gladiator, Babel, and Game of Thrones. Continue driving to Marrakesh for an overnight stay.
