Hassan II Mosque - In the morning, the journey begins with a visit to the largest mosque in Casablanca, the Hassan II Mosque. Following this, travelers will head to Morocco’s capital, Rabat.
Rabat - Upon arrival in Rabat, the itinerary includes visits to Hassan Tower, Bab Challah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, one of the main gates of the royal palace, and the Oudaya Kasbah.
Chefchaouen - Arriving in Chefchaouen early allows time to explore the blue alleys of the medina, capture photos, and savor local cuisine. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Chefchaouen – Fez
Chefchaouen - The morning in Chefchaouen is free for exploring the blue city, located in the Rif Mountains, northwest of Morocco. Known for its old town’s faded blue buildings, the city features leather and weaving workshops along its steep cobbled streets. The central square, Outa el Hammam, houses a red-walled kasbah with a 15th-century fortress and ethnographic and artistic exhibits. Nearby is the octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque. After lunch, the journey continues to Fez.
Fez - After lunch in Chefchaouen, travelers will head to Fez, a three-hour journey, arriving in Fez to check into the hotel.
Fez City Tour
Fez - After breakfast at the Riad, the exploration of Morocco’s oldest city begins, wandering through its alleys and narrow streets. The tour starts with the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah built in Morocco during the 14th century. The itinerary includes cultural and historical sites such as the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the world’s oldest, the Tanneries, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, a visit to the tiles cooperative is planned, followed by a panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez.
Fez – Ifran – Midlet – Sahara Desert of Merzouga
Ifrane - After breakfast, the journey from Fez to Merzouga begins, passing through Midelt and the Ziz valley, with a stop in Ifrane city.
Midelt - Known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” this charming mountain village offers a stop at the cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains. The journey provides glimpses of the Middle and Higher Atlas mountains, with a stop in Azrou, a Berber village in the famous cedar forest, Morocco’s largest, where travelers can see Barbary apes. The journey continues to Midelt, with lunch along the scenic hills and mountains of the Atlas.
Errachidia - After lunch in Midelt, the journey continues through the captivating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the stunning Ziz Gorge, offering views of the High Atlas plateau and revealing desert landscapes as travelers approach the southeastern province of Errachidia city.
Merzouga - The journey proceeds along the beautiful Ziz Valley, with stops for panoramic views en route to Erfoud and Rissani. Upon arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon, travelers are greeted with a glass of mint tea. A camel ride in the Sahara Desert dunes of Merzouga leads to the camp for an overnight stay.
Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Merzouga Desert - The camel guide will wake travelers early to witness a potentially unforgettable sunrise. The peaceful camel trek back to Merzouga village offers appreciation of the unique beauty of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which change with the light throughout the day.
Todgha Gorge - After breakfast and a hot shower at the riad, the journey continues to Rissani, Tinghir, and Todgha gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco.
Boumalne Dades - After lunch in the gorge’s heart, the drive continues through the Dades Valley, showcasing majestic sand castles and the remarkable rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Overnight accommodation is in a charming guest house overlooking the Dades Valley, with dinner and breakfast included.
Dades Valley- Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Hadou – Marrakech
Boumalne Dades - After breakfast, the journey through the Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate and Marrakech begins. The road, known as the “way of the thousand Kasbahs,” offers numerous opportunities for stunning photographs. A stop at Kalaat M’Gouna, the center of the rose valley, provides an option to visit the rose cooperative and purchase rosewater, leaving a lasting fragrance on linens long after the trip.
Ouarzazate - Known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert, Ouarzazate is located south of the Moroccan High Atlas Mountains. The city features the massive Kasbah of Taourirt, a 19th-century palace offering views of the rocky landscape seen in several films. Visitors can also explore the Cinema Museum. To the northwest lies the fortified city of Ait-Ben-Haddou, built from red earth.
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - This is a remarkable example of traditional southern Moroccan architecture, situated on a hillside with a collective attic at the top. The village consists of earthen buildings surrounded by walls, forming a ksar, a type of traditional pre-Saharan habitat. The houses are grouped within defensive walls reinforced by corner towers, with some dwellings resembling small castles with high towers adorned with raw brick designs. The oldest structures date back to the 17th century.
High Atlas Mountains - The journey continues through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains, offering an opportunity to learn about the production of Argan oil, unique to Morocco, by Berber women in their cooperative.
Marrakech - Marrakech Sightseeing
Marrakech - After breakfast at the Riad/Hotel, the exploration of Marrakech, “the red city of Morocco,” begins. The itinerary includes the most significant historical and cultural sites, such as the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, a walk through the souks offers a view of hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, travelers have free time to explore other parts of the city independently.
