Well worth the money and the effort! - Loved it! From the experience of the high-speed train both ways, and the stunning vistas of the Rif mountains and villages en route to Chafchaouen, to the tour of Chefchaouen with Mohamed, an excellent local guide, it was well worth the money and the many hours of travel. A very special place, even though too touristy, and Mohamed knew where to take us and show us the less crowded parts of the city. I'm so glad I decided to go on this tour.

💙Best Day Ever in Blue City with Omar & Mohamed! 💙 - BEST DAY TRIP TO “BLUE CITY” via speed train from Casablanca! Everything on time, like clockwork! Omar met me at Tangier Gare & was wonderful, caring driver, giving me interesting history & incites. Bonded over shared interest in NBA basketball (where I work for Thunder NBA 2024-25 Champs) & German Heritage, of which we both share. Felt very safe. Stopped for delicious local date/walnut snack, restroom/photo stop at beautiful dam before reaching. Chefchaouen. Returned me safely to Tangier Gare for trip back to Casablanca over windy, busy roads. 6 🌟 Mohamed was my delightful, knowledgeable tour guide in the “Blue City.” Took pics for me, helped with steep stairs, slower pace. Treated me like his mother, as I have mobility issues. Very patient & kind for which I am grateful! Ordered my lunch, answered questions, stopped for numerous photo ops. Couldn’t ask for better guide! 6 ⭐️ Both spoke very good English, caring & kind! Would not hesitate to recommend Omar & Mohamed as future guides in the “Blue City!” BEST DAY EVER! Thankful & Grateful! 6⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Blue City Trip was Amazing! - Highly enjoyed this day trip . At the end, I was picked up by Mohammed the driver at tge train station after my trip to Chefchaoeun. He was an exceptional driver. He was very knowledgeable about Morocco and he was easy to talk to. Chefchaouen was a wonderful trip abd Mohammed L made the experience pleasurable as well after a long day. I recommend him as a go-to driver for future Morocco trips.

Organized and fun! - I was very happy. Everything was taken care of from the hotel pick up, to the train tickets, to the ride when we got there, to our host Muhammad. He was very knowledgable, and interesting. I loved the Blue City!! Then the ride back was just as organized. Thank you!

Top notch experience!... - Top notch experience! Seamless from hotel pick up in the morning to my drop off later that evening. Perfect excursion for a Solo traveler. I joined 2 other travels for a memorable day to the Blue Pearl, Chefchaouen. Our guide Mohammad did an incredible job of escorting us thru the maze of alleyways and streets to the most beautiful locations of the Medina. The history of the city came alive with his commentary…he was born & raised in the city and lives there! He knows the city and the people well. This was the BEST way to visit this incredible place!

A few initial glitches but a great day out - When we arrived at the station we didn’t have train tickets. Our driver spent over half an hour sorting it out with the tour company and the train station staff, which was a little worrying but from then on our trip was fantastic. The fast train only took 2 hours to get from Casablanca to Tangier where we were met by our guide. To our surprise we were the only ones so we had a personal all day tour and learnt and saw more than we ever expected. A great day out with very friendly and knowledgeable people.

Underwhelming and over priced - Once there, Chefchaouen itself was charming and time not rushed but we only meandered through the shopping streets with little information offered. Lunch was a long 2 hours with only a set menu offered, I would have preferred to have been able to choose what I wanted from the lovely full menu. Whilst the restaurant offered views, we were unable to sit on the top terrace area which was a shame. The most unexpected part of the day was that we returned to Casablanca at 2210 hours, apparently the usual return train was full so we had been booked on a later one but this wasn’t communicated until the departure morning. Our driver from Tanger to Chefchaouen didn’t utter a single word during the 2 hour trip there or back and had we not asked, he wouldn’t have even shared his name. I was underwhelmed by the day given the amount we paid, it was a lot for walking through the shopping streets and eating a set course dinner which would have cost very little.

I did not have a great... - I did not have a great experience on this tour, due to the tour guide and the lack of communication in getting to Chefchaouen. I was picked up, then we picked up another participant, who did not speak English. They dropped us at the train station with no direction as to what train to get on, what time it left, etc. Luckily two other participants soon arrived and they knew where to go. Arriving in Tangier, again we had no idea where to go. The other 3 participants spoke Arabic, so they contacted the tour company and got us in touch with the driver. He did not speak to us AT ALL during the 4-hour round-trip. Once we arrived in Chefchaouen, the guide (Mohamed) met us. He was very nice, but because one participant didn't speak English and they all spoke at least passable Arabic, they spoke that a lot. I asked him 3 times to speak in English, as this was an English tour. He replied that one participant didn't speak English, and I very emphatically told him that she shouldn't have booked an English tour, and that I don't speak Arabic. One participant spoke both languages and assured me they weren't talking about anything important, but it's very isolating being the only person left out of a conversation, and I booked the tour in English so as to avoid that situation. He did get better at the end, but it made for a day filled with tension. Also, the town is located on hills, so there is very strenuous walking up and down many hills. It was above 110* F that day, and Mohamed did his best to keep us in the shade. I recommend the tour because the town is fantastic, but just know that you kind of have to figure out the train station on your own, and your guide may or may not speak in the language you chose.
