Casablanca - Ait Benhaddou
High Atlas Mountains - Guests are picked up at a designated meeting point in Casablanca and driven along the highway through Marrakech. The journey continues to cross Morocco’s highest road peak, Tizi-n-Tichka (2260 m). After lunch, the tour proceeds to Telouet Kasbah, a historic site on the former caravan route from the Sahara through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. This Kasbah, strategically located at an altitude of 1800 meters, was once a key stop for caravans and is near significant salt mines. The journey continues along the salt river to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for movies such as Sodom and Gomorrah, The Mummy, and Prince of Persia. The night is spent in a traditional Berber riad, with local cuisine provided for dinner.
Ait Benhaddou - Merzouga
Sahara Desert Morocco - After breakfast, there is a one-hour walking tour of the Kasbah, followed by a drive to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” and meaning “Quiet City” in Berber. There will be a stop for photos at the Studio and Taourirt Kasbah before continuing along the road of a thousand Kasbahs to the Roses Valley (roses bloom from April 14 to June 5). After a photo break overlooking the valley, the journey continues to the Todgha Valley, a series of limestone river canyons in the eastern High Atlas Mountains. After lunch, the tour proceeds to Erg Chebbi in the Sahara Desert, near Merzouga. Along the way, Berber villages such as Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud are passed, marking the start of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. Upon arrival in Merzouga, guests can relax before embarking on a camel ride adventure in the sand dunes to watch the sunset. A traditional Berber dinner is served around a campfire, and the night is spent in a luxury camp with drumming music in the heart of the Sahara. This is a perfect opportunity to capture beautiful sunset and sunrise photos and enjoy a night under the stars with nomadic music.
Merzouga - Ouarzazate
Musee Theatre Memoire de Ouarzazate - In the morning, guests have a “Date with the Sunrise” in the desert, where waking up early is essential to witness a breathtaking sunrise from a dune near the camp. After breakfast, the journey continues with a camel ride back to Agdez via the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river. Following lunch in a traditional Kasbah, the tour proceeds to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” due to its prominent film studios and the many movies filmed in the area.
Ouarzazate - Casablanca
Jemaa el-Fnaa - After breakfast, the tour travels through the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech for lunch and a visit to the old medina, before continuing to Casablanca to conclude the journey.
