Desert tour Merzouga - I've been 3 days in the desert with Omar as guide, he's very nice and well prepared about everything we visited. I really recommend him for your next tour!

Great - Magnificent activity! The driver and guide Ali gave us an incredible experience. We felt like we were with family in the desert. Guide Ali was very attentive, professional, and passionate about his region. Everything was perfectly organized: transportation, meals, and atmosphere. A real chance to disconnect. I would recommend the guide Ali🙏🏻, the driver, and the agency 100%! We'll be back!!

A good adventure - The tour was organized very well. Omar, the guide who accompanied us throughout the trip, was very considerate and nice. Unfortunately the shuttle, although it is new, was a bit narrow but that's okay. All the people we met on this trip treated us as guests and not as tourists.

Moroccan hospitality - Well organized trip with many activities such as local guided tours and camel ride in the desert. A bit difficult at night in the desert given the high temperatures inside the tents.

Unforgettable experience in more ways than one - Overall the tour was a truly special experience. Given that travelling to the desert is probably unwise on your own, it was great to go with a group. We ended up making a few friends and learning a lot about Moroccan culture as well! Some overarching things: probably best not to go in August. It’s doable, but it’s hot, even at night. The inside of the luxury and standard tents have no AC, so temperatures were reaching 37C. The bus thankfully had AC but arguably too much AC, to the point where a few travellers were getting sick from the swinging temperature changes. The windows also don’t open. The lunches felt like a rip off to be quite honest, quite shocking given that food half of the price elsewhere in Morocco tasted 100x better. The standard camp and the luxury camp are split up, so if you are booking with friends, make sure you are booking the same package. And lastly, we felt that Omar was not the kindest or most informative tour guide. Often we didn’t know what was happening, felt like we were being bothersome when we had real concerns, and also felt that his teasing was bordering being insulting. Maybe we don’t understand Moroccan humor but every other guide, host, restaurant owner, riad manager has been so kind and pleasant to be around, that interacting with Omar did not leave the greatest impression. We didn’t get a chance to choose a seat, and got picked up second to last, landing us at the back of the bus, cramped, and enduring the bumpy ride for three days straight. 2/4 of us in the back ended up nauseous and vomiting. The company didn’t put in anything to allow us to rotate out of those seats once, forcing us to take the brunt of the unpleasant ride the entire time. The first day was very interesting, we had a provided guide at Ait Ben Haddou, and it was so lovely to see. I do wish that we had more time in the shade though. There were a few 15 minute stops at picturesque places and bathrooms, but we never felt pressured to buy anything that day. The hotel was nice, had AC, but we arrived pretty late, had a late dinner, and had to wake up early. The second day at the Todra gorge was beautiful and we thought our guide “Ali Couscous” was amazing. He truly was passionate about his people and his home. The rugs were beautiful and once again, we didn’t feel pressured. My greatest appreciation for Rashid was that he made us feel informed, safe, and knowledgeable at all times. He warned us of cultural customs and made sure we felt taken care of. At lunch, we were told it was best to take an hour longer break, but were not told that this would mean we would arrive to the camp late. We ended up arriving by camel at the camp at 9 pm and dinner at 10 pm. We did not get the opportunity to sand board because of this, and were also not told that our stop in the dunes would be our only opportunity to take photos. The camel guy did not speak English very well and our guide, Omar, had left us by then. At the camp, there was no AC except in the main dining area, and no windows to the tent, leaving us to boil inside all night. With music ending at 12:15 am and breakfast at 5:30 am, you can imagine how little we slept. There’s also no cold water (or anything cold) anywhere. It is the desert though, but just a warning, there’s no relief ever. By the way, if you’re hoping to see the Milky Way, make sure you go during a new moon. Last day was brutal and by far the worst of the three. We had a strange 45 minute break at a gas station, but only 15 minutes in Ifrane. Our guide, Omar, also forced us to write reviews for the tour at lunch and put in the 5 star rating for us. We were then taken to see monkeys were people forced peanuts into our hands, despite us insisting we didn’t want to, and ended with my partner being attacked. Finally at the end of the tour, we got dropped off as close as possible to our riad but without much planning so we were actively trying to figure out when to get off as we were driving.
