Depending on your arrival time, you might have the opportunity to visit the seaside Hassan II Mosque, the world’s third-largest mosque, featuring the tallest minaret globally at 210 meters. Designed by French architect Michel Pinseau, the mosque can accommodate 25,000 worshipers inside and 80,000 in the courtyard and surrounding squares. It is one of the few mosques open to non-Muslims. - Medina of Fez - Day 5: Fes Guided Walking Tour with Local Guide (No drive)
Today, a local guide will lead a walking tour around Fes, the spiritual capital and oldest city in Morocco. The tour will primarily explore the Medina, with its narrow alleys and traditional markets (souks). The guide will ensure visits to culturally and historically significant sites, such as the renowned Al Karaouine Mosque and University, one of Africa’s largest mosques and possibly the world’s oldest university, accommodating up to 20,000 people at prayer.
After lunch at a local restaurant, the tour continues to the Tanneries, one of the city’s most iconic sights where leather is produced. A stop at the Royal Palace gate, a stunning example of modern restoration, follows. The tour includes a walk through the Jewish quarter, “the Mellah,” and a visit to the pottery cooperative. - Chefchaouen Medina - Day 3: Explore Morocco’s Blue City, Chefchaouen (No Drive)
If familiar with Instagram or Pinterest, you have likely seen countless images of Morocco’s famous blue city, Chefchaouen, also known as “the Blue Pearl of Morocco.”
This beautiful city stands out from other Moroccan cities, located in the heart of the Rif mountains, offering breathtaking landscapes. Once occupied by Spanish Jews and Moors in the 15th century, its architecture is heavily influenced, with whitewashed walls, blue doors, and windows adding to its charm. Capture the serene and picturesque setting of this tranquil town. Overnight stay at your riad includes bed and breakfast.
- Conservation du site Archéologique de Volubilis - Day 4: CHEFCHAOUEN - VOLUBILIS - MEKNES - FES (230 km)
After breakfast, the journey leads to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Spend the morning exploring the 2000-year-old ruins, featuring beautiful mosaics dating back to the 3rd century BC. Lunch will be in Meknes, one of Morocco’s Imperial cities.
Post-lunch, the guide will provide a tour of Meknes highlights, including the magnificent Bab Mansour gate, the grandest of all Moroccan imperial gateways. The gate is well-preserved, adorned with lavish Zellij and inscriptions. Completed by Sultan Moulay Ismail (the founder of Meknes) in 1732, the tour continues towards Fes. - Kasbah des Oudaias - Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen (Blue City) 330 km
Today, the journey departs from Casablanca to Rabat, Morocco’s political capital. Here, visit the Royal Palace and the Hassan Tower, Rabat’s most famous landmark. Built by Sultan Yacoub El-Mansour, who passed before its completion, the tower was intended to be 60 meters tall but was abandoned at 44 meters. It would have been the second-largest mosque of its time, after Samarra in Iraq. The tour also includes the marble Mausoleum of Mohamed V, built in traditional Moroccan style, exuding tranquility.
After a lunch break at a local restaurant, the journey continues through the Rif mountains, enjoying the beautiful landscape and countryside until reaching Chefchaouen, the “Blue Pearl” of the North. Overnight stay at your riad includes bed and breakfast.
- Ifrane - Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Middle Atlas – Midelt (240 km)
Departing from Fes, the journey crosses the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Ifrane. A stop in this spectacular town, nicknamed ‘little Switzerland’ for its beauty, pseudo-alpine weather, and villas, is included. The drive continues through the Cedar forest of Azrou, with a stop to see the Barbary macaques inhabiting it. Along the way, enjoy the sight of Berber villages in the Middle Atlas Mountains.

- Erfoud - Day 7: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (230 km)
Departing from Midelt, the journey crosses the great date-palm valley of Ziz, offering one of southern Morocco’s most stunning natural views. Upon reaching Erfoud, known as Morocco’s town of fossils, a stop is made to explore fossils. Arrive in Merzouga early afternoon, where the desert adventure begins. The first night is spent in a hotel or Riad next to the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
- Erg Chebbi - Day 8: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Camel Trekking (20 km)
Today promises to be the highlight of the two-week Moroccan journey. Venture deep into the Moroccan Sahara desert, with its golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi stretching over 28 km from North to South and reaching heights of 160 meters. Pass by old, muddy Berber villages and stop for panoramic views along the way. Visit a nomad family living in a tent in the desert and enjoy a glass of mint tea while learning about their nomadic lifestyle.
After lunch at a Berber pizza restaurant, return to the hotel to relax or enjoy a swim before embarking on a camel ride into the beautiful Erg Chebbi, witnessing the stunning sunset over the dunes. Notice the changing colors of the dunes as the afternoon sun sets. Overnight in the Sahara desert camp includes dinner, a Berber drums live show, bed, and breakfast.
- Todgha Gorge - Day 9: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley (230 km)
Today begins with an early morning wake-up to enjoy the beautiful sunrise. After breakfast in the camp and the memorable moments in the Sahara desert, the adventure continues to the Dades Valley. Along the way, visit the charming city of Rissani, where the Alaouite dynasty, the current ruling royal family in Morocco, was founded. Explore its traditional souk in the city center, divided into several sectors: dates, vegetables, spices, animals, cloth, and crafts. The journey continues past Todra Gorge, with time to explore the gorge.
After a lunch break, head west towards the Dades Valley to see majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Overnight accommodation is in a hotel overlooking the lush, green Dades Valley. Dinner, bed, and breakfast are included.
- Ouarzazate - Day 10: Dades Valley – Skoura Oasis – Ouarzazate (140 km)
After breakfast in the hotel, drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is known as the way of the thousand kasbahs, offering numerous opportunities for capturing some of the best photographic shots of the trip. A stop at Kalaa Mgouna, “the rose city,” allows for purchasing rosewater, which will keep linens smelling fresh long after the trip. Continue to Skoura and the Dades Valley, visiting the Kasbah Ameridil, a well-preserved kasbah in the area. After lunch, enjoy some hiking within the valley before continuing to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa,” whose geography and beautiful landscapes have attracted many world-class movie producers. Overnight accommodation is in a riad, including dinner, bed, and breakfast.
- Ait Ben Haddou - Day 11: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas - Marrakech (200 km)
After breakfast in the riad, the journey heads towards Marrakech through the old Caravan routes and the High Atlas mountains. The first stop is at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. Built at the beginning of the 20th century by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah was one of his stops during his long travels from sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Continue to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas mountains with its beautiful views and remote Berber villages. Stop for panoramic views along the way until reaching the colorful Marrakech.

- Marrakech - Day 12: Marrakech Tour with a Local Guide (No drive)
After breakfast, a local guide will meet you in the riad and take you on a private guided tour of Marrakech’s most interesting monuments, including the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque. Its 225-foot masterpiece minaret dominates the Marrakech skyline and is visible from almost every corner of the city.
Marrakech is home to beautiful palaces, such as the 19th-century El Bahia Palace, featuring Andalusian and Moorish architecture, a trapezoidal garden, a huge tiled courtyard, and many hidden antique treasures.
After lunch, visit the Djemaa El-Fna, Marrakech’s main square and open-air theater. Snake charmers play oboes to calm hissing cobras, henna tattoo artists beckon passersby, musicians perform, and so much activity ensures entertainment!

- Essaouira - Day 13: Marrakech – Essaouira (190 km)
After breakfast, depart for the coastal town of Essaouira. Discover the Skala fortress, the harbor, and the souks. Learn about Essaouira’s specialization in the processing and cutting of Thuya wood by craftsmen. Walk through the medina’s alleys and explore the hundreds of crafts. Wander through the Mellah, the Jewish headquarters, or enjoy the fresh air on the wide, golden sandy beach. Known for its strong winds, Essaouira is also called the “City of the Winds,” attracting surfers worldwide. Essaouira has a rich history, having experienced many civilizations, including Portuguese occupation, which significantly influenced its architecture. It is a small city with a great history, considered Morocco’s Jewel of the Atlantic due to its size and characteristic blue doors and washed walls. Overnight stay includes bed and breakfast.
- El Jadida - Day 14: Essaouira - Casablanca (350 km)
Enjoy a free morning at Essaouira beach. Take a walk, watch the windsurfers, or explore more of the Medina and soak in the beauty of this seaside town before bidding farewell and returning to Casablanca. Enjoy a scenic drive along the coast, stopping in seaside towns like Safi and El Jadida. Arrive in Casablanca around 5-6 pm.
