Wonderful day with Carlos - Carlos was an amazing tour guide who picked us up promptly at the port and proceeded to take us around on a magical tour of Portugal. We cannot recommend this tour more highly.

Mon Ami Portugal Tours - Mon Ami tours took extremely good care of all of our needs. We did not have to worry about anything. The picked us up from our hotel and bought all the tickets to the different castles and palaces that we wanted to visit. Aside from taking care of those details, our guide, Carlos Ribeiro, was extremely knowledgeable on all things Sintra, so much detail that definitely went above what you would expect from any tour guide. The whole experience was enhanced by Mon Ami's attention to detail and Carlos' professionalism, but also personable demeanor. He went above and beyond by taking us on some side trips that really enhanced the experience. Highly recommend using them for any tours in Portugal that they offer.

Full day tour of Sintra and Cascais with Nuno - We had an amazing time touring with Nuno. He is very personable and knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. We would highly recommend him for any trip!

Our guide Margarida was... - Our guide Margarida was lovely. Friendly very knowledgeable and paced the day perfectly to our requirements! She was very flexible made a lot of effort and found the perfect lunch spot! Highly recommend!

Carlos was amazing! - I am usually very hesitant to book things online or arrange private tours as we have 2 children but in order to see everything we wanted to see in Sintra we decided to book a private tour through Mon Ami.
Our experience communicating with Alexandra was amazing. She was responsive and patient allowing us to customize our private tour for the day.
Our experience only improved once on the tour. We had an exceptional private day trip to Sintra with Carlos Ribeiro as our guide. From the start, Carlos was the epitome of professionalism—punctual, organized, and attentive to every detail of our itinerary. As a local, he brought an incredible depth of knowledge and insight to each stop, enriching the experience far beyond what we could have learned on our own.
Carlos was not only informative but also a pleasure to spend the day with—easy to talk to, patient with our questions, and genuinely kind throughout the entire tour. He made sure we stayed on track without ever making us feel rushed, striking the perfect balance between structure and flexibility.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Carlos to any family or friend visiting the area, and we’ll definitely be booking with him again the next time we’re in Portugal. Thank you, Carlos, for a truly memorable day!

Solo female traveler from US, private tour to Sintra - My tour guide Mario was amazing . I spent the day with him exploring the towns along the coast as he explained the history and architecture. He was so funny and engaging and new all the local spots and ways to avoiding queues. He was also my tuk tuk driver the day before as we explored the city of Lisbon! Highly recommend !!

Wonderful daytrip to Sintra - We did a private tour of Sintra with Carlos as our driver cum guide. He was punctual and arrived at our apartment on time. The car was clean and comfortable and the journey to Sintra was pleasant. Carlos was very knowledgeable and provided the historical context and background to all what we were seeing in Sintra. We covered the Sintra Palace gardens (we did not go inside), Moorish Castle, the National Palace from the outside, Quinta da Regaleira and the Monserrate Palace, a lot of territory to cover in a day. It was only possible because Carlos planned the schedule meticulously, so that we spent the right amount of time at each location and at the same time saw the key highlights of the place. He also accompanied us inside the Quinta da Regaleira which is not always the case with all tours and it was very helpful, as we were able to see the best of the site in an optimum time. Carlos also called up his friend and made a lunch reservation for us at a small local restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had in Portugal. Overall a very well organized trip made more special because of Carlos.

Great day exploring Portugal! - Carlos Roberto was a fantastic tour guide! Me and my mother enjoyed the full day, and the sights were beautiful. Carlos is very personable and knowledgeable about the area. I’d definitely recommend to anyone in Lisbon!

Excellent Tour with Mon Ami - We took two private full day tours with Mon Ami. Margarida was our tour guide. She is amazing! Fun, engaging, provided lots of information, took us to places we would have never visited by ourselves. She is worth every penny, and private tour is such a treat. I twisted my ankle on one of tours, and Margarida went out of her way to quickly get me ice, ibuprofen and an elastic sock. She even had sunscreen and wet tissues in her car. She was like a mommy to us, LOL. Book the tour with Mon Ami! It would be the best money you spend in Lisbon.
