Great way to see Aix - Our guide was terrific. Knowledgeable and engaging. We learned so much about the history of Aix en Provence and his narrative brought that history to life. Highly recommend this guide and the 3 hour tour.

Knowledgeable Tour - Christopher had an easy conversational tone in describing his city and we enjoyed seeing and learning without the feeling of being lectured to. Tour is a little pricey but we found it worthwhile and recommend it. Much to see and admire.

Inside Aix with a friend - Christopher is friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. He made us feel like we were visiting an old friend. Even though we had been to Aix before, we learned insights and experiences that were so worthwhile. Would definitely recommend.

A perfect walking tour! - Laurent was an amazing guide! He was extremely knowledgeable (and flexible, given our two small children); his expertise in art and architecture was evident at each turn during our stroll as he educated us on the history of Aix. What a perfect way to become acclimated in this beautiful city! I wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

Terrific tour - Loved the 1-on-1 experience, learning a lot about Aix, and seeing the town. A great intro to a place I had never been before. Laurent even bought me a coffee halfway through the tour! If you're thinking about maybe doing this, don't hesitate to sign up. It's well worth it.

Thorough and Personable - Christopher from OohProvence delivered a very enjoyable and extensive tour of Aix-en-Provence. He took us all over the city, and pointed out details that we would never have noticed. His unflagging energy and interest in history was contagious! With the private tour for just the two of us, it felt less like a tour and more like spending the afternoon with an extremely knowledgeable friend. Thank you, Christopher!

Great Tour of the City - I made a last minute detour to Aix-en-Provence in February, hoping to explore Cezanne's footsteps and the city. To my chagrin, everything was closed for low season and there wasn't much I could see/do. Since I was short on time, I frantically looked for a tour so that my visit wouldn't be in vain. Christopher accommodated my last minute booking for a half-day tour (made the night before) and met me the next morning. The tour was a thorough, overview of the history of the city. Christopher took me all over the city on foot and answered every question I had about Aix-en-Provence and France in general. I highly recommend this tour or any tour that OohProvence provides.

What to do - I've been to Aix a lot for 30 years. It was a sleepy city that seems to have woken up for ten years in particular in its architecture. Reaction of many buildings. Electric buses (with very few passengers in them) new centers dedicated to leisure. Very interesting. There remains a black spot: cleanliness even if there is a clear improvement (trash in the streets of the center in the middle of the afternoon. Lots of dog poop all over the place). This very young city enjoying a magnificent climate must at all costs encourage the establishment of activities bringing work in cutting-edge sectors (aeronautics, IT, microelectronics, pharmacy, etc...)

Typically French, or rather Provençal, city. - Pleasant Provençal-style town, with a beautiful centre. Beautiful buildings and beautiful streets. The cathedral with adjoining baptistery (now incorporated) is interesting and presents an almost unique example of an immersion baptismal font (5th century)! Unpleasant surprise upon returning from the tour: glass breaking in the car! NB: the kind guy from France Parabrise, who worked for free to place the cellophane, told us that they break tens every day! I will NOT go back!!
