What a day with an expert! - We were fortunate enough to have our guide Sebastian to ourselves for the day. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about Mt Etna and the surrounding areas. Being a geological student, he gave us a great understanding and was very insightful! Would highly recommended this tour and ask for him. There were some interesting moments as we were there the day of a significant eruption but we always felt safe.

Surprising and shocking Taormina and Etna! - A beautiful Taormina and very shocking excursion to Etna. Excellent guide Valentina, with clear explanations about the phenomenon of the volcano and with much detail of the city of Taormina. Highly recommended. We request another excursion to Syracuse for the next day also with Valentina, who also drives very well.

A lifetime experience. - We went to Taormina and Mount Etna, our guide Valentina was excellent, very knowledgeable and even provided all our clothing for our trip to Mount Etna. She dropped us off at certain points to take our photos and waited for us. We would definitely recommend Valentina if you are planning a trip to Sicily.

No show tour company - Our tour operator did not show up to pick us up for our Mt Etna tour. The tour operator did not notify us that they were cancelling the tour. When we first called the tour operator 30 minutes after they were supposed to pick us up (we were waiting the whole time, while other Mt Etna tours picked their people up) the tour operator at first denied that we had a reserved tour and then said that the weather was bad and that they would pick us up tomorrow instead. Your (Viator's) response was 1) would you like me to request a refund? and 2) I can rebook you with another tour company for tomorrow at more than double the tour cost that you booked at and 3) I'll try to contact your tour operator to see if we can get you reliably booked on a Mt Etna/Taormina tour for tomorrow (to which the tour operator has apparently not replied). This is the first problem that I have had with a Viator tour and so far I'm not impressed. Every tour booking company has issues and problems, the question is what is Viator doing to help its clients when things go wrong?
