The landscape is uniquely lunar-like. The journey begins at 1900 meters above sea level, with a cable car ride, followed by a 4x4 jeep excursion to the accessible point. From there, the group will proceed on foot for a 5km round trip, guided to the central crater. Here, participants will experience the sensation of walking on a vibrant, active volcano, surrounded by fumes, gases, and the striking yellow hue of sulfur. From the crater, there is a stunning view of the Ionian coast and the various villages nestled at the base of this magnificent mountain. The itinerary also includes visits to ancient eruptive cones and expansive lava fields. The return to the starting point is by 4x4 jeep and cable car.
