• Mount Etna - Embark on a guided trek on the northern side of Etna, exploring distinctive volcanic terrains, including ancient lava flows, side craters, and birch forests. The guide will share insights into the volcano’s eruptive history, its current activity, and the geological characteristics that make it the tallest active volcano in Europe. The trail is easy and accessible to all, featuring panoramic stops for photography and naturalistic insights. From the summit of the Sartorius craters, the view stretches to the Mediterranean Sea.
• La Grotta dei Ladri - Participate in a guided tour of a lava cave created during an eruption of Etna. Equipped with a helmet and flashlight, visitors will enter a volcanic tunnel to learn about the formation of lava flows and underground cavities. The guide will explain the geological processes that shaped the cave and share stories related to the volcano’s historical eruptions, ensuring an engaging and safe experience.
• Le Gole dell’Alcantara - Explore the Alcantara Gorges with access via municipal stairs. Upon reaching the riverbank, visitors can remove their shoes and enter the canyon to walk among the stunning basalt walls sculpted by water. The guide will discuss the volcanic origin of the gorges and the formation of the unique basalt columns, allowing time to explore, take photos, or refresh in the river waters.

This tour offers a full-day experience that includes a guided trek on Mount Etna, reaching approximately 2000 meters above sea level, a visit to a lava cave with provided helmets and torches, and entry to the Alcantara Gorges.

During the Mount Etna excursion, participants will follow an easy to moderate 3 km path through side craters and recent lava flows. A Certified Environmental Guide will offer insights into the volcano’s geology, flora, and eruptive history.

At the Alcantara Gorges, there is leisure time to explore the basalt canyon and stroll along the river. The entrance ticket is included.

The tour is conducted in small groups (maximum of 8 people) with transportation provided by an air-conditioned minivan, and all necessary equipment is included.
