Mount Etna - On this day, discover the true Queen of eastern Sicily, known locally as ‘a muntagna’ (The Mountain): the majestic Mount Etna.

After breakfast, embark on a journey to Rifugio Sapienza (Sapienza Refuge, at an elevation of 1800 m), pausing at the Crateri Silvestri.

Here, enjoy shopping among the area’s charming lodges and savor a delightful lunch.

Ancient Theatre of Taormina - In the afternoon, arrive in Taormina; stroll along Corso Umberto to visit the stunning Greek theater, Palazzo Corvaja, and the Odeon, while taking in the breathtaking seascape.

Siracusa-Noto

Parco Archeologico della Neapolis - Today, explore Siracusa (Syracuse), a city that rivaled Athens in power and wealth.

Relive the days of this ancient colony at the Neapolis archaeological park, featuring the renowned Greek theater, Ara di Ierone II (Altar of Hieron II), Latomia del Paradiso (Latomie of Paradise), Roman amphitheater, and the impressive Orecchio di Dioniso (Ear of Dionysus), immersing in a timeless historical setting.

Ortigia - Wander through white stone alleys to Ortigia, visiting the Cathedral, built over an ancient temple dedicated to Athena, the Fonte Arestusa (Fountain of Arethusa), and other major monuments.

Noto - Proceed to Noto, a Baroque gem and World Heritage Site since 2002.

The city reveals its splendor following its reconstruction after the 1693 earthquake: visit the church of Santa Chiara, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Palazzo Ducezio, Nicolaci street with its exquisite balconies, Fontana d’Ercole (Fountain of Hercules), the Municipal Theatre, and other significant architectures. Along the main street, enjoy shopping and sampling Sicilian sweet treats like cannoli (a crunchy dessert with sweet ricotta) or granita (a frozen dessert).

Piazza Armerina-Agrigento

Villa Romana del Casale - Journey to the heart of Sicily to admire the vibrant Roman mosaics of Villa del Casale, located a few kilometers from Piazza Armerina. Dating back to the fourth century, the villa’s mosaics depict scenes of Roman daily life, captivating with their vivid colors that have remained nearly unchanged over the centuries.

The second destination of the day is Agrigento, a city on the island’s southwestern side.

Valle dei Templi - Visiting the Valle dei Templi (Valley of the Temples) is like embarking on a journey back through the ages. Be awed by the grandeur of Tempio di Giunone (Temple of Juno), Tempio della Concordia (Temple of Harmony), and Tempio di Ercole (Temple of Hercules), then explore the archaeological site with Tempio di Zeus (Temple of Zeus) and Tempio dei Dioscuri (Temple of Castor and Pollux). The site’s true beauty unfolds during the enchanting night tour before returning to the city.

Selinunte-Erice

Palermo-Monreale

Norman Palace - Dedicate the entire day to Sicily’s capital, Palermo. From the Greeks to the Arabs and the Bourbon dynasty, Palermo has withstood invasions, blending each culture’s unique traits into an unparalleled fusion.

Visit the Cathedral, Cappella Palatina (Palatine Chapel), Piazza Pretoria (also known as the Square of Shame), and Chiesa of Santa Maria dell’Ammiraglio (commonly called the Martorana).

Duomo di Monreale - Just a few kilometers from Palermo, reach Monreale, renowned worldwide for its spectacular cathedral with mosaics set against a gold background. After visiting the beautiful cloister next to the cathedral, proceed to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Cefalù - End of the Tour

Cefalu - After breakfast, head to Cefalù, a charming seaside town dominated by a high cliff on Sicily’s northern coast.

Visit the Cathedral, an impressive structure with two Norman-origin towers, featuring rich mosaics set against a gold background.

The final journey together will be to the airport or another location, where farewells are exchanged before departure.
