Founded in 1996, the NGCI is a dynamic arts organization dedicated to its mission through exhibitions, artist residencies, educational and outreach programs, and research initiatives. NGCI operates both locally and globally. As part of its mission to promote and encourage the appreciation and practice of visual arts in the Cayman Islands, it sends Caymanian art and artists abroad and hosts many esteemed international artists to visit, exhibit, and work in the Cayman Islands. NGCI is an inclusive gathering place that honors artistic heritage, celebrates art, and aims to provide inspiring learning experiences for its diverse audience.

Carlos Garcia Gallery at the Grove (Route)

Operating Schedule: The second stop will be at the Grove to visit the Carlos Garcia Art Gallery and enjoy a wine tasting.

The gallery, conceived by Honduran artist and muralist Carlos V. Garcia, is located in a non-traditional art space at The Grove. It features his showroom, studio, and works by other emerging local artists. It is designed to support multi-genre collaborations, including fashion shows, pop-up events, and art exhibitions. Featured artists include Carlos V. Garcia, Iain MacRae, Kerwin Ebanks, Andie Lau, David Banegas, Annikki Hills, Steven Dann, Scott Gordon, Augusto Salazar, Alejandro Dominguez, Tiann Lewis, Arlen Avila, Alessandro Garcia, Franc Garcia, Henry Hoy, and Carlos Ortiz. For CAW24, the gallery will host Art Chemistry Night, an exhibition opening, and a late-night event for CAW West until midnight.

Operating Schedule: The final stop will be at the Gallery, where visitors can enjoy a walk-through with artist Jason Kennedy while savoring wine curated by Tortuga Fine Wines.

Jason Kennedy captures the lifestyle, mood, and faces of the people in the Cayman Islands and the wider Caribbean. His work transports viewers from the pristine beaches of the islands to the streets, markets, and yards of the residents. Each painting is a captured moment in time, depicting work, leisure, movement, and action as the subjects engage in everyday life. His art pays tribute to the island’s way of living, exploring what makes the region truly special: its people. Although Jason’s art includes both oil paintings and acrylics, each piece contains a small trace of seawater taken from Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman.
