Bucket List Day in Tikal! - Our day in Tikal with Omar and Abner was truly magical and a "bucket list" experience in every way. Abner picked us up from our hotel in San Ignacio Belize, drove us to the Guatemala border, and waited for us while we crossed from Belize to Guatemala. On the Guatemalan side of the border, our guide Omar joined us and we began the drive to Tikal park. On the way, Omar told us of the rich Mayan history and described what we'd see that day. As we got to know each other, we shared how much we loved nature and the beauty of the jungle. Omar began to add details about the flora and fauna we'd find in Tikal, in addition to the history of the Mayan people, and the great historic city itself. He told us about the history of archeology in the park, and shared photos he'd taken over the years of birds, the stars, and other natural phenomena. As we hiked through the park, Omar stopped to show us many of the species of birds found in the park, along with army ants, bullet ants, leafcutter ants, and more! We saw foxes, monkeys, agouti and coati. The ruins themselves are far more stunning than any photographs can do justice; we learned so much from Omar as we hiked from temple to temple, plaza to plaza. After a full day of exploration and a wonderful lunch in an open-air restaurant inside the park, we began the drive back to Belize. During the drive back, as we passed wetlands and jungle forests, Abner and Omar pointed out many species of birds for us, and enabled us to stop and spot them through our binoculars. They taught us about these birds and where and how they live, and gave us such a rich sense of the beauty of Central America. They both went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed every aspect of our trip to Tikal. Their pride in their country and heritage is palpable, and their knowledge of the land and its history brought the Mayans to life for us. We had an absolutely wonderful day.

AWESOME TRIP - I reached out to Tikal Go directly since we wanted a private custom tour for 4 people and to add in Flores. Our driver (think it was Abel) picked us up from our hotel at 7:00 and drove us to the border where we went through immigration and customs. There we met our guide, Omar to make the journey to Tikal.
All I can say is this trip is amazing. Omar told us about the Mayan history and moved us along unlike other tour guides where you stay in one place for 15+ minutes. Once we are at the center of the ruins, Omar gave us our free time to explore the area and didn't rush us at all. To highlight the trip, there was a healing ritual that was performed and we got to witness that. Throughout the entire trip, we did things at our own pace and we would let him know the time to meet us. At the end of the Tikal tour we had a wonderful lunch provided in the park's restaurant. The food was delicious. Then onto Flores. Omar gave us a little history of the town and we got to explore the town, again at our own pace.
Omar was awesome and very knowledgeable. Definitely book with Tikal Go!

Great tour of Tikal - I did the Tikal tour from San Ignacio, Belize. Everything was great. Pick up at my hotel in San Ignacio was right on time. The guide in Guatemala was excellent, really knowledgeable about Mayan history and culture and also plants and animals. Never felt rushed, we had a full day. Lunch was also good. Would definitely recommend Tikal Go tours.

A very pleasant experience! - We took the tour with Tikal Go and the guide, Nate. Everything was perfect. Transportation from the Belize border is very easy. (Going through migration takes about 30 minutes)
Our guide, Nate was excellent. He speaks English perfectly and showed us the park very well. Tikal is very special! In the end, lunch was very delicious, especially the chicken, beans and handmade tortillas. 5 stars!

Amazing Private Family Tour - Excellent tour of Tikal! We drove to the Belizian border and our guide Omar was waiting for us in the first building, walked us through the Guatemala border entry and then we headed out. Omar was very knowledgeable about Tikal and the animals and birds we saw as we walked through the jungle paths. He was great with all the questions from the kids and had the perfect tour plan for our group to see the highlights despite the super hot day. The bus was clean and comfortable, lunch was delicious and Tikal was simply amazing! TikalGo made the whole process a breeze.

Wonderful experience and would recommend to all. - We chose the private tour from the Belize border. Omar was our guide and he was so great to learn from and happily answered all of our questions. I travelled with my husband, young teens, and sister. He connected with everyone. Our lunch in Tikal was simple but so delicious! My kids asked me immediately to learn how to make the chicken they served. Also, the van we took was really spacious and new. At the end of the trip, Omar went out of his way to get us back across the border quickly. For a private tour it was a great value. Thanks so much!

Great day trip from Belize for the marvel that is Tikal - Perfectly executed tour from San Ignacio in Belize, including transfer to the border, escorting through the Guatemala border controls, large private van to Tikal, over four hours at the site, stops at the gift shop in the nearby village, and the reverse back to San Ignacio hotel. While in Tikal, we got a good overview of the history of the site and of its discovery, climbed all of the high points, with our guide offering a variety of informational context without being overwhelming. Loved it!

Disappointed - I'm extremely disappointed with the tour experience provided by the company. Our guide, Omar, seemed unenthusiastic from the start, mentioning he was already tired from his second tour that morning.
The tour felt rushed, with Omar only providing basic instructions on where to go and how much time we had to explore the pyramids.
I'm glad we took the initiative to research the pyramids in Guatemala beforehand. Unfortunately, Omar provides so little informative insights or knowledge about the site. I had expected the guide to share interesting facts and history, but instead, we relied on our own research to enhance our experience..
We were expecting a more comprehensive and engaging experience, especially given the cost…
Be sure to bring your own water if you take this tour, no water provided.
Overall, I would not recommend this company or GUIDE to others.
