- Melchor de Mencos - This is the Western Border. The process of crossing the borders with us is easy. First you will have to pay a departure tax (20USD) to exit Belize and then get a stamp on your passport. We will then assist you with the border crossing of Guatemala where you will get another stamp to enter the county. The borders crossing takes…
- Melchor de Mencos - This is the Western Border. The process of crossing the borders with us is easy. First you will have to pay a departure tax (20USD) to exit Belize and then get a stamp on your passport. We will then assist you with the border crossing of Guatemala where you will get another stamp to enter the county. The borders crossing takes around 30 minutes in total.
- El Remate - After 1 hour drive within Guatemala we will do a quick stop to get a few photos of the Lake Peten Itza. This lake is on of the three largest lakes of the country of Guatemala.
- Tikal National Park - After we had drive a total of 2 hours from the Border we will arrive to Tikal Nacional Park is time to get ready for the guided tour. Our local expert will take you to visit the highlights of Tikal archaeological site such as the grand plaza, Temple 3, temple 4 and the Lost World complex. You will will have some free time to climb temples and take your photos at different great angles that our local expert will recommend. During the jungle trails you will have the opportunity to see Flora and Fauna such as Spider Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, Coati Mundis, Turkeys, Toucans and many other species of birds. After the 3.5 to 4 hours guided tour is time to return back.
- El Caoba - On the way back from Tikal we will drive 30 minutes to get to this restaurant to have the included lunch. You will have 5 lunch options to choose from the menu plus a drink is included. We will sit and enjoy our lunch with handmade corn tortillas.
- Melchor de Mencos - After lunch we will drive back to the border for 1.5 hours. We will assist you with the border crossing to return back to Belize. There is no border payments on the way back.

We meet all our guest at the border of Belize-Guatemala but we also do free pickups at the described location (Hotels within San Ignacio Town) or let us know where you will be staying and we can check if your hotel is within the free pickups area.

Great Private Tour - Our driver from San Ignacio to the Guatemalan border was great…he was there waiting for us when we returned. The driver on the Guatemala side was also excellent, he was bilingual, funny and willing to stop anywhere for us. He had ice cold towels waiting for us after the tour in Tikal and made an extra stop on the way back, so we could try Gallo beer. Sergio the tour guide was fantastic…he shared his knowledge of the Mayan civilization, was patient with our child, and you can tell that he’s been a guide for 12+ years. Just a great guy to have as a guide. We saw toucans, howler monkeys and even a jaguar. Also, I almost forgot…lunch was amazing.

Don't hesitate—just do it! - Tikal is breathtaking! We had a wonderful private tour with our family, including our nearly two-year-old child. A special thanks to our guide, Louis, for making it an unforgettable experience!

Bilingual, customer oriented, and passionate! - Hugo jr was both fantastic and knowledgeable. You could see his passion and love for the mayan culture and preserving its temples. From start to finish he offered facts and made sure we were well taken care of. We had the pleasure of being driven by el Jefe himself, and he made sure we were fed and stopped for souvenirs. 10/10 would recommend, and will definitely be returning!

10/10 would recommend - Yumi was fantastic. Very hospitable and has a wealth of knowledge and would highly recommend her tour! She made sure that I had time to see everything I wanted to see and answered my many questions, and was a pleasure to spend the day with.

Best tour that we had on our trip - I can't say enough good things about Hugo and our trip to Tikal. He was very knowledgable, patient, and social. Since we were staying in San Ignacio, he had a Belizean driver pick us up and take us to the Guatemalan border where we met with him. He taught us about the history of the area on our drive to Tikal. He knew how to get us around many of the choke points entering the park so that we could maximize our time in the historical area. He was very clear about what is 100% fact and what assumptions have been made about different ruins based on things that they have found. He also taught us about how they lived and different theories that archaeologists have about different ruins. He was very good at spotting different animals also. We saw a toucan (the national bird if Belize), a bunch of howler monkeys and spider monkeys, a few coatimundis, and a bunch of other animals and birds.
