Best beach day exceptional food fantastic host and beautiful surroundings. - The best beach day experience a real must do for independent travellers and cruise shippers alike. Steven picked us up as promised in heritage quay. He is a friendly and wonderful human who made our day special. A short drive through the St John suburbs brings you to the most beautiful beach white sands and Azure blue sea nice and shallow with almost no waves perfect for little ones. Steven settled us on comfy sun beds with a well secured and very smart green umbrella for shade. We seemed to be on our own private part of the beach away from the crowds plenty of space between the sun beds. We were given lovely fruity rum punch (there is a non alcoholic version too) filled with ice, You can have these all day if you like the first one is free. Steven is very good at refills. After swimming and relaxing we were served up a large half lobster tail with fresh salad and french fries. The lobster was freshly caught that day and cooked on the bbq. It was cooked to perfection soft and not dry it was delish. There is a beach bar if you require icy cold soft drinks and beer and there is a man selling fresh coconuts which he cuts open for you to drink. There was also another lady doing local Caribbean food on the bbq. This is a tour absolutely in my view worth the money (and I have done a few) you are well looked after the facilities are good and Steven is just the best host ever.

Heaven on a beach - Amazing beach. The floating bar was the highlight. Our host Steven picked us up and dropped us off at the cruise port with no issues. Then set us up umbrellas, cooked up delicious lobster. And there is a lady grilling delicious jerk chicken. Truly paradise. Can't wait to come back

Great beach day! - We really enjoyed this beach day. You’re basically hiring an assistant for the day (he called himself a babysitter, lol). He picks you up at the port, transports you to the beach where he has chairs and umbrellas set up for you (in a quiet part of the beach) with access to a beach bar and an outhouse. I’m trying to set the expectation, it’s simple but exactly what we wanted. He then prepares a grilled lunch of grilled lobster and sides. Once you’re ready he takes you back right next to the pier. Tip: It’s not very clear so here’s how to meet him when you get off the cruise ship. However when you exit into the port area, keep walking and you’ll see a sign on the right side that says “pre-booked tours” meet here. Once there we asked and someone knew Steven and said to wait there. I’m not sure how this would work if you didn’t like lobster as this was booked as a lobster lunch, I’m not sure if they could accommodate picky eaters. Again, we had a great time and the beach is nice. I would do this again.

Great Day in St John with Dickinson Bay Beach Bar! - The views were amazing. The food was excellent. Stephen was very attentive! We will defiantly consider this same excursion if a future stop is in St John. The only issue was no one was in a green shirt for the pickup so had to make a call, but all worked out fine

As expected. The beach... - As expected. The beach was very nice and clean. Reserved lounger and umbrella. Small bar nearby to purchase additional snacks. FYI..There is a locked bathroom you can use for $2 or the porta John. Stephen was nice and communicative. Lunch was good. Returned us to port on time. Wry relaxing day.

Escape to sun, sand and LOBSTER. - Kareem and Steve were excellent with our group of 16. No issues meeting up, getting back to ship. Great personal treatment and an expertly served lobster lunch. They caught the lobsters earlier just off the coastline. Huge. A truly great tour and professional, friendly and caring guys.

Great experience, our... - Great experience, our guide Steven was great. Food was very good as well. The beach is beautiful and not too crowded.

nice outing - Nice day out at a beautiful and calm beach, with good lounge chairs with umbrellas........didn't enjoy the lunch, it was very basic, the lobster was dry, the mac n cheese as well.....but the drivers were very friendly and accommodating. Overall it was a very pleasant day, and was very convenient to be driven there and taken care of.

Very Disappointing - The bar that Isn't - For Full disclosure we did receive a full refund.... However please note: The driver was late and was not easy to find (the green T-shirt advice was wrong). The contact number was unreachable. The car was parked a fair way away. The beach was great and the sun loungers were ok. However, the bar in effect does not exist. When challenged we were told it was because the government forced them to move. Apparently they are getting a new bar, but I would check before booking. None of this is disclosed on trip advisor (the photos are not representative). In effect the driver provides rum punch from a container and a takeaway lobster served in a polystyrene box with one plastic fork, making it very hard to eat. There is a bar there which can be used but it is not the operator's. Because we complained we got a full refund, but in effect the trip was cancelled and so we had to return early and it was a waste of a day.
