We had the absolute pleasure of doing the Exclusive & Private Walking Tour in Pelourinho, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Salvador.
Gabriella was an exceptional guide — incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the culture and history of Salvador and the state of Bahia. She didn’t just walk us through the streets; she truly brought the city to life. From the colonial architecture and vibrant streets of Pelourinho to the deeper historical context of Brazil’s past, she explained everything in a way that was both educational and captivating.
What made the experience even more special was how personalized it felt. Gabriella took time to answer our questions, share local insights, and connect the history to present-day life in Salvador. Her depth of knowledge about Afro-Brazilian culture, traditions, and the city’s significance was impressive.

The secrets of Pelourinho - Our walk through Pelourinho was exceptional. Laura, our guide, is a superstar of the neighborhood: knows half the world, is very well prepared, has a sense of humor, and showed us the less known chants. We always felt super safe and learned a lot about the history of the city. An unforgettable experience.

Sensational and pleasant. - Gabriela Penetti is an excellent guide and she knew a lot about African culture in Salvador. It was extraordinarily interesting. In addition, Gabriela is very flexible in the tour. If an attraction is known during the tour, then it was no problem for them to show us something new and tell us. Gabriela is very personable and pleasant. Booking Gabriela is highly recommended.

A must do tour with the right guide - I was fortunate to have Gabriela Parnetti as my guide. Her knowledge of history and culture in Pelourinho and surrounding areas of Salvador was amazing. There is lots of information which she is able to clearly share and make adjustments to address your specific interests. A rewarding and pleasant visit with Gabriela! - I had a great experience visiting the Pelourinho with Gabriela! She is super friendly, passionate and transmits a wealth of rich and accurate information about Salvador’s history and culture. Highly informative walking tour - Joining the walking tour with Gabriela turned out to be a fantastic last minute decision. She provided a thorough and insightful history of Salvador de Bahia, covering each area we visited with great detail and knowledge. Gabriela also shared useful tips, and we made a stop at her favorite acarajé spot, which was absolutely delicious! Over the course of three hours, I learned so much about the city's history. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Spectacular morning in Salvador's historic centre - What a wonderful tour of the Pelourinho and historic centre of Salvador. Gabriela knows so much about Salvador, and you can tailor the tour to your tastes. If you like food (we do), she gives heaps of recommendations of restaurants and Street vendors, if you like history (my partner does) she can go deep into the history of Salvador, if you are running a little late (we were) Gabriela was able to accommodate (thank you so much).
A must do tour for first time visitors to Salvador.

Highly recommended tour! - Gabriela is a fantastic guide. Not only because of her knowledge of Salvador but also because she tells stories that make the past present and alive. Besides that she is a nice and joyfull lady. We had an amazing tour with her. We would strongly recommend her if you want see and feel the old part of Salvador.
