• Elevator Lacerda - This transport and tourist attraction takes visitors from Cidade Baixa to Cidade Alta.
• Praca Thome de Souza - Also known as Municipal Square, it offers a stunning view of Todos-os-Santos Bay. The square houses the headquarters of Salvador’s City Hall, the Chamber of Councilors, and the Rio Branco Palace, the seat of Bahia’s first governor, Thomé de Souza.
• Monumento da Cruz Caida - The Monument to the Fallen Cross is steeped in history and diverse opinions. It stands where the Igreja da Sé once was, demolished in 1933 for tram passage. Trails from Rua Chile lead to Praça da Cruz Caída. Inaugurated in 1999, the Cruz Caída commemorates the loss of the former Igreja da Sé, the Primatial Church of Brazil.
• Praca da Se - Part of the historic center’s charm, Praça da Sé in Salvador reflects the city’s modernization, where colonial buildings have been replaced by modern structures. After renovations, it became a hub for leisure, culture, and tourism, surrounded by significant city landmarks. The square now features a modern light source and houses the splendid Archiepiscopal Palace of Salvador.
• Praca Terreiro de Jesus - Officially named Praça 15 de Novembro, this square holds great historical and cultural significance in Salvador’s Historic Center.

In the early 1550s, during Salvador’s founding by Governor-General Tomé de Sousa, the Jesuits were granted land north of the new city. Led by Manuel da Nóbrega, they built a small chapel and the first Jesuit College building, completed in 1590. The square in front became known as “Terreiro de Jesus” due to the presence of the Society of Jesus priests.

• Pelourinho - Largo do Pelourinho, officially Praça José de Alencar, is a public space in the heart of Salvador’s oldest area. Adjacent to the old Portas do Carmo and near Terreiro de Jesus, it features one of the most renowned baroque church complexes in the Americas, including the churches of the Third Order of São Francisco, São Francisco, Rosário dos Pretos, Passo, and the grand Catedral Basílica, formerly Igreja do Colégio dos Padres, where poet Gregório de Matos studied and Father Antônio Vieira preached.

The adventure begins at Visconde de Cayru Square, home to the Mercado Modelo, where we will admire the maritime scenery and snap some initial shots.

Next, we will ascend the Elevador Lacerda, which links the lower city to the upper city, and finally, head towards the renowned Pelourinho.
