Great exposure to downtown, history - Great tour - I"m so glad I took the tour. I would have missed so much if I hadn't. Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly.- He took extra care at the end to make sure I could find an ATM in a safe neighborhood.

Downtown Rio - We learned a lot about the history of Rio and Brazil. Natalia is a knowledgeable and helpful guide. We are so glad we got to the bakery!

Guía Rock Star - Excellent tour. All relevant information of Brazil, Lucemir handles it. It's like walking with a rock star through the streets of Rio. Recommended.

Lots of Info and lots of STEPS :) - Be prepared to walk ALOT and quite quickly. Wear good shoes. This 70yr old is FIT. He brought me around to a lot of spots in the Centro, because I pushed to keep up with him. I didn't mind since he had a lot of historical information to share about everywhere we went.

Tour like a local - This tour is great if you want to feel like you are being shown round by a close friend. Lucemir showed me round key parts of Santa Teresa and even bought be a local drink. He knew all the best spots and poses for the photos too!

Fair - This is a good way to see the city for the first time and you know you’ll be safe as you’re in a group. But there wasn’t a lot of history explained.

Found the guide’s behavior strange - We didn’t enjoy our guide at all. I didn’t feel learn much about Rio during the tour due to his inability to communicate in English, his behavior was strange (for example he got into a shouting argument with someone he knew on the street mid tour). Wouldn’t recommend, we’ve done numerous walking tours in cities around the world and this was definitely the most bizarre tour

Com certeza um tour na língua errada! Tour given in the wrong language! - Unprofessional and Uncomfortable - It was my boyfriends 1st time in Brazil and I as a carioca decided it was best to book a tour to explain the history of centre and the buildings as I don’t know in depth. To be fair after the tour I felt like it would have been better for me to give. He kept speaking portuguese even though we booked the tour in english. We kept asking for him to switch to english as my boyfriend cannot speak portuguese but he wouldn’t, making us very uncomfortable. This was definitely the worst of it all. The tour guide did not explain anything about Rio and its history! He talked mostly about his personal life and random stories about brazilian personalities (without any context or anything to do with what we were seeing). He told many weird stories about fights and “jokes” that made me very uncomfortable. Talking about his balls and so on. He also kept getting emotional over stuff and almost crying which is sweet but just made us feel very weird! Also kept touching me and it was quite unnecessary (my boyfriend was not happy). He was very pushy and wanted to take many pictures but as a carioca I know not to take my phone out anywhere. He kept crossing the street in a very unsafe way and not aware of his sorroundings to the point my boyfriend told him to be careful. We couldn’t finish the tour because he would just yap none sense and stop and tell stories that were not history… He offered to keep going which was nice but if the tour says 3 hours he should make the effort to explain everything in time! He also made us stop at this cafe to have a cupuaçu juice which is nice but honestly I rather finish the tour than that… Also we didn’t wanna have all of it but he was very pushy. He also had some bread there… Felt like it was more his meal and time rather than ours. Could not recommend any less! Writing in english so everyone can understand and sharing mine and my boyfriends experience! Read the bad reviews and trust them cause they definitely described how we felt as well!

Do not book this one. - The guide did not show up. Did not answer messages. Did not answer phone calls. Wasted my day. Probably as I was the only person for that particular day/time. Booked well in advance.
