This Tour > Others - As a solo traveler, pub crawls are a great way to meet people. I went on two different Lapa pub crawls while in Rio and this one far exceeded the other. It could’ve been the energy the group brought, or the great guides, Cadu and Júlia, but I would go on this tour again and again if my liver allowed. I’d recommend this tour to anyone I know, and I suggest this one over the other ones you may find. The group was intimate and just big enough to get to talk to everyone. Others expanded to over 30 people. I really enjoyed this tour. 🍻

A great night out in Rio - You are probably going to end up a little drunk , but any hang over is worth it . The music is great , and you probably will not go home until at least 2.00 am 👍

Solo traveler - Great way to meet others when traveling solo. Great for my first time first even in Rio . Get to go from bar to bar right amount of time. Drinks aren’t included so you will still have to buy at each stop . Overall fun times

Great first taste of nightlife in Rio - We had a great experience touring the nightlife of Lapa. This was our first nightlife experience in Brazil and it was great to be with a local who gave us advice and insights. Victor was fantastic!

This experience was so... - This experience was so nice. We were a group of 10 travellers from around the world. It’s a great way to meet new people and mingle with them. Cadu our guide was excellent! No complaints. The only reason why I gave a 4 star is just because we left the meeting point around 9:30 and spent about 1 hour in the first bar and another 30-45 min in the second bar. We stayed at the meeting point for one hour before we left for the first bar and by the time we hit the club, I was exhausted. I think if we had started a bit later like meeting point at 10:00 ish it would’ve made sense to be out all night but starting the night at 8:30 and not moving from the meeting point till 9:30 was kind of a waste of time. Overall, great experience! A must do!

Fun tour with a few critiques for improvement - Victor was our tour guide, super nice, polite, have us a run down on some of the bars we went to. We went to 4 bars and the best ones for me were the 2 where there was live samba. I love world music and seeing performances and people dancing together. The energy is what I live and those 2 were particularly memorable. I will definitely come back to those bars when I visit Rio again. My only criticism, and this is solely for the tour to improve, is that we started pretty late. The tour guide allowed people to be an hour late before he actually started. I think a 20-30 minute window would be best especially since Rio is traffic heavy during carnaval season. I do wish the tour guide recommended drinks that those bars were known for, and advised us that were would be good food to eat prior to coming. Otherwise I would have not ate before hand. Overalla I still had a good time, met a few people, tour guide was nice and informative. I'd do it again if I came back.

It was a bit unorganized... - It was a bit unorganized but overall it was a fun experience. Got to experience different types of clubs and nightlife in general. Julia and Victor were great guides.

Not Well Organized.... - I took both a "free city tour" as well as the pub crawl tour, and didn't think either one was very good.....
I found the city tour with Natalya to be very gimmicky (i.e. long stop at indigenous store...), several breaks during the 2.5 hour tour...., and the explanation of the background and history was unclear.... While I happily tipped after the tour to thank her for her time, I wouldn't recommend this tour.
I also took the pub crawl with Jovi, and while it went to a few pubs, there was no context or explanation about samba or anything we were seeing....
