- Lion of Chaeronea - Located two hours from Athens on the route to Delphi is the renowned city of Chaironeia. At the entrance of Chaironeia, 13 kilometers from Livadeia, near the archaeological museum, stands a marble pedestal featuring a large lion. This tomb monument was erected to honor the Theban leaders who perished in the Battle of Chaeronea in 338 BC, where the Macedonians claimed victory. Following his triumph, Philip II permitted the burial of the fallen, and the Lion of Chaeronea was erected to mark their resting place. Excavations at the site uncovered the skeletons of 254 men and some of their weapons. The lion, standing 5.50 meters tall, is depicted sitting on its hind legs and is believed to symbolize the heroism of the Theban soldiers, which Philip II himself acknowledged.

- Delphi - Delphi is home to the sanctuary of the god Apollo. People from all social classes across Greece would visit this site, offering tributes in hopes of consulting Pythia, the high-priestess and oracle of Apollo. Her prophecies even influenced state policies. Citizens eager to learn their future and gain the Gods’ favor showered the Oracle with tributes and donations, amassing great wealth in the Oracle’s treasury. Visitors can explore the Temple of Apollo, the Castalian Spring, the Temple of Athena Pronaia, the theatre, and the stadium. Additionally, many significant ancient Greek artifacts from the Delphi excavations, including the renowned statue of Antinoos, can be admired. The site and museum tour will last three hours, followed by an authentic Greek meal before returning to Athens.
- Monastery of Hosios Loukas - The monastery is situated on the western slope of Mt. Helikon, beneath the acropolis of ancient Steirion. Enclosed by a wall, it comprises two- and three-story blocks of cells, a bell tower at the southwest corner, the Refectory on the south side, and two adjoining churches at the center of the enclosure. The monastery was founded by the hermit Loucas Stereiotis, who resided in the area from 945 A.D. until his death in 953 A.D. The church of the Theotocos was constructed during Loucas’s lifetime. He was declared a Hosios of the Orthodox Church, and his relics were initially kept in the church but later moved to the crypt below the catholicon when it was built. After visiting the Monastery, the journey back to Athens will commence.
