• Chalong Pier Meeting Point - The PADI Scuba Diver course is a part of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If time is limited but the desire to dive is strong, the PADI Scuba Diver certification could be ideal, especially if diving with a guide is preferred. This course serves as a stepping stone towards achieving an Open Water Diver certification, should that be the ultimate aim.

PADI Scuba Divers are authorized to:

• Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet.
• Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment, and engage in dive activities with proper supervision.
• Further their dive education by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and pursuing certain specialty diver courses.

To join a PADI Scuba Diver course (or Junior Scuba Diver course), participants must be at least 10 years old. Adequate swimming skills and good physical health are required. No previous scuba diving experience is necessary, but the Discover Scuba® Diving program offers a chance to try it first.
