Great mix of history, culture, and geography - My wife and I took a lovely tour with Ioannis (John). His SUV was very comfortable as he drove us around Chania, telling us about the history of Old Town and the fortifications/walls. We stopped a few times to walk around and get a closer look at some highpoints. Then we left the city and headed to Souda and discussed the shipping industry. Along the way Ioannis described growing and harvesting olives, avocados, pomegranites, and grapes, as we passed miles of orchards and vineyards. My favorite part of the tour was visiting the Holy Trinity Monastery, which is humble and modest, yet beautiful and well kept. This visit included sampling wines and olive oils from the monastery. We continued the tour back to Chania, where we stopped at a knife ship (I purchased a beautiful hand-crafted kitchen knife from knifemaker “O Armenis” - Pachtikos Michael. I would highly recommend this personalized tour; well worth the time and money.

Amazing tour! Highly recommend John was superb! - Highly recommend! We had an amazing tour with John. He showed us some incredible sites, and we especially enjoyed the visit to the monastery, including the olive oil and wine tasting. What a wonderful way to experience the island. The tour was packed with history, culture, and a personal touch that John incorporated throughout the day.

Private transfer in Chania - Giannis is a wonderful driver and guide, and more importantly gem of a person. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He shared a lot of useful information about Crete and Chania incl local customs, history, and also proactivelly included local shops, olive oil factory in our route to make the trip more interesting. He had organised a few snacks for the trip so that we have stuff to munch during our trip. last but not the least, he gave us return gifts post the trip including gummy bears for our toddler. He was extremely friendly and we really enjoyed his company. Also, his rates were very reasonable. So, overall we highly highly recommend Giannis in case u are in Crete.

Fabulous Day in Crete - We had a fabulous day with Manos,our tour guide.
He showed us so much in Crete ,so many beautiful sites all over the entire island. He shared so much history and traditions
We gained a lot from his wonderful knowledge and thoroughly enjoyed his company

Best tourist of our trip - We had a fantastic time with Giannis! He arrived early, greeting us with a broad smile and a spotless, comfortable Mercedes van playing relaxing music. The day was perfectly paced to avoid the large tour bus crowds. Giannis clearly knows all the right people and hidden spots—he brought the sights, smells, and character of the area to life. From wine and olive oil tastings at the monastery to grilled octopus by the sea at the Venetian harbor, every moment was thoughtfully planned. We left wishing we had another couple of days to explore more with him. Highly recommended!

Tour of Chania from cruise ship - John was on time, courteous, passionate about the history of Chania, and informative. Tour was as described online. Two in our group had some physical limitations and he was very attentive to their needs. He took lots of group pictures for us. If you are traveling on a cruise ship I recommend starting your tour as early as possible in order to miss the big bus crowds. There were 6 adults and the van was very comfortable.

A wonderful private tour for our group of six adults! - Our time in Chania with John was fabulous— both educational and enjoyable. He was full of knowledge, and he made the history interesting rather than just giving us facts. He planned a perfect itinerary that easily got us to the places we wanted to see— and some places we didn’t even know about! We were happy to be a party of six with John in a private car rather than one of 40 on the bus tours from the ship! Plus, he left us with nice gifts at the end of our tour; well done, John!
