Discover Chania in a unique way with the advantage that you do not waste time searching for nice places, restaurants yourself - Stella let us discover Chania in a unique, friendly and charming way. We tasted delicious snacks and food, which we had never taken ourselves and gave us excellent advice on restaurants and places to visit and told us interesting things about the history of Chania in excellent English. Highly recommended tour.

Stella was an awesome... - Stella was an awesome guide. It was a small group, so we had plenty of time to ask questions and she was very knowledgeable about chania’s history. She brought us to very tasty restaurants, which included a delicious caviar dip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good food and wine and a history of the small port town

Delightful tour, delicious food and we learnt so much from Stella - Stella is an expert on Chania and Crete and took us to areas where the locals choose to eat - invaluable information we have never accessed before despite this being our second visit. It was a pure delight to discover these peaceful old town streets and we will visit them now for delicious home cooked food and tranquil settings. Stella took us to several eateries chosen by her for their high quality offerings. We would never have been able to sample such a variety on our own. Stella knows the island inside out and gave us recommendations not only for restaurants but also villages and coastlines to visit. Lovely to meet fellow travellers and chat over delicious food and wine.

A Must Do! - Stella is amazing. She is so knowledgeable about the history of the island, the food, the wine, and the culture, I learned so much. She went above and beyond and out of her way to accommodate me since I was the only person on the tour-she catered it to what interested me and what I wanted. She is so personable and kind, it really made the whole time experience stand out. She chose the best restaurants and gave the best recommendations on food. She also had great insight on other things to do in town, between supermarkets and other tours I might enjoy, she was a fountain on knowledge. I cannot recommend this tour enough, Stella is a gem and this is a tour you must do in Chania!

Went to some great restaurants. - Stella was a great tour guide. She took us to a few great places that we went back to and had dinner on our own. She made great recommendations for a lot of things. We met some great friends on the tour and really had a great time. She ordered delicious local dishes that we would not have tried on our own.

Interesting tour which... - Interesting tour which introduced us to several local foods. Could do with a bit more historical context. Would have been more fun if one could hear the narrative without straining much. Could be made more cost effective.

Great Chania walking and food tour! - Stella was a very kind and helpful tour guide, it felt like she gave us an authentic Chania experience and the food places she chose were very great! She picked very local dishes as well and also asked for our input on some stops. My only comment is that it should be a little cheaper... Also could use more wine.

Mediocre tour Which I don’t recommend. - The tour starts out very nice. We never got loukoumades. The last restaurant the food was the lowest quality on the menu. They promised us baklava and gave us a cheaper dessert named halva which no one liked. The restaurant owner wanted to know how much we paid for the tour?

While I truly dislike... - While I truly dislike leaving negative reviews, I feel it's important to share my experience so other travelers know what to expect. I've taken food tours all over the world, and unfortunately, this one fell far short of the mark. Although our guide was kind and well-meaning, she wasn’t an effective tour leader. It was very difficult to hear her throughout the tour—she spoke softly and didn’t provide much context or storytelling about the local cuisine or the area itself. We spent a lot of time walking in silence, and it took nearly 30 minutes before we even arrived at the first tasting. Our first stop included cheese and wine, but we lingered there much longer than necessary. The second stop was brief and offered no wine at all, which was disappointing given the tour was promoted as a food and wine experience. The third stop—a honey tasting—felt more like a quick visit to a shop than a curated part of the tour. Our final destination was a restaurant for dinner, which was nice in theory, but again, wine was limited and the guide, while seated with us, didn't engage much with the group. Overall, the tour simply did not match what was advertised. It lacked energy, insight, and the food and wine pairings I had expected. Regretfully, I can’t recommend this experience.
