Friendly and knowledgeable guide, Aria, very interesting tour - Had a fantastic guide in Aria, she was super friendly and very knowledgeable. She tailored the walk and information to our interests and we gained a good insight into the history and culture of Chania from her as we ambled through the narrow pretty streets, some of which we wouldn’t have found or fully appreciated without her! We enjoyed some tastings along the way: olive oils, honey, desserts and finished off the tour with a selection of local foods and a drink (all included in the price). Would highly recommend this guided walk and suggest you do it early on in your stay to appreciate the rich culture and layered history of this beautiful old town.

Wonderful tour of Chania Old Town - We had the pleasure of a wonderful tour this week with Manos. He bought the history and culture of Chania old town to life, he is so knowledgable. We went to parts of the old town we’d never have visited on our own. The pace of the tour was great for us, and Manos supplied treats along the way. We finished the tour with a glass of wine, mezze and an interesting discussion on all things Crete. Highly recommended.

Wonderful tour in a beautiful city! - We had a great tour with Adonis. He is from Chania and was very informative. He took us through Old Chania which is just lovely. And we ended our tour in the main square with an assortment of small bites and a glass of wine!

Wonderful Walking Tour - This is a great way to learn about Chania's history from the ancient Minoans to present day. When you book before summer season there are fewer in a group so we had the tour guide to ourselves and Goldy was wonderful. She knew so much about the old town sites and also recommended local restaurants and shops. We had a fabulous olive oil/honey/raki tasting at one shop and Goldy treated us to local specialties at a café and entertained us with stories of Greek mythology while we ate. It was a thoroughly enjoyable 3 hours.

Wonderful harbour . - Very nice old town with small alley with also small shops and restaurants. Central the church and the small square. From there you are in the nu at the port, which visually tops everything. See pictures. Go or drive. I mean, you're missing something.

Insiders view of beautiful island of Crete - Had an enjoyable and informative Old Town Chania tour with Manos. His ability to provide so much information in a casual, personable way made it that much more enjoyable. Learned the history of this beautiful island, sampled some of its delicious food and got an insiders view of all that Chania has to offer. Gave us some great recommendations (places to eat, things to do - even an eyeglass repair shop to fix my sunglasses!). Also, tour provider was great. They very generously rescheduled when last minute delay out of NY caused us to miss the originally scheduled tour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great Insights to Cretan Life - Manos was knowledgeable, insightful and fun to engage with! He made the history and culture—past and present—come alive. We toured Chania and also learned much about Crete as a whole. He introduced us to high quality local artisans and shops, which we returned to. The treats along the way were appreciated and excellent. Manos made our time in Chania even more memorable!

Old Town Chania is more than tourist shops - Our guide, Manos, was very knowledgeable about the history and influences that created Old Town Chania as well as how new trends are shaping the area (Air BNB). We learned about leather tanning and the significance of knives. He was friendly and answered all our questions. We stopped in a shop for an olive oil tasting which was a bit overboard - 6 or 7 olive oils to taste without any bread, just one after the other. This wasn't a reflection of Manos, but the shop itself. We enjoyed the tour and found Manos to be a terrific guide.
