• Potamida - Visit the renowned “Komolithi” and capture some memorable photos! Komolithi is one of Crete’s most fascinating landscapes, located in Potamida village, Kissamos province, in the Tyflos River valley, about 35km west of Chania. These are small hills of soft clay, shaped into stunning conical forms by erosion over time. The landscape is reminiscent of Cappadocia, with a similar site found only in Asprougas, Koufonisi islet, Sitia province.

They are situated near village homes, in a fertile area by the Tyflos River. Large and small formations have bare sides with vegetation on top. Climbing and walking among the Komolithi hills is quite easy.
