• Topolia Gorge - Exotic beaches with pristine white sand and turquoise waters, reminiscent of the Caribbean, line both sides of the peninsula. The sand often appears pinkish due to countless crushed shells. Near the peninsula’s tip, the seawater remains shallow, not exceeding 1 meter in depth, forming a small lagoon perfect for children. The lagoon is easily crossed to reach the opposite side of the peninsula, as the water is very shallow. The eastern side of the beach, in front of the lagoon, is well-equipped and popular, featuring umbrellas, showers, lifeguards, snack bars, and changing rooms. Additionally, there is ample parking nearby and a few rental rooms further away.

On the way to Elafonisi, we traverse through quaint traditional hamlets and longitudinally navigate the Topalian gorge, ultimately reaching our initial halt - the Agia Sofia cave. This stunning testament to nature, with its stalactites, stalagmites, and tiny chapel at the entrance will fill you with awe during the 30-minute approx exploration. Next, we set off to Elafonisi!
Feel free to idle on the beach, soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. The option to hire a sun-bed & umbrella, stroll towards the small island, or dive into the beach’s crystalline waters is up to you. There’s an array of water sports & activities to keep you engaged during your visit. Before heading back, we make a pitstop at Elos village, offering you the chance to savor dinner at a traditional Cretan tavern (optional).
